Apparently early in the game they were showing Taylor Swift on the Jumbotron when the Eagles got that offensive pass interference call and the crowd started booing the call. But people with an agenda claimed they were booing her.

How much camera time has she had on TV today?
I think that a 3-4 seconds during the game.

He's certainly had a good game, but I wouldn't call it great.

The story of the game has been the Eagles' D...but it's hard to give the MVP to an entire defense.
He was probably the most valuable player though.

QB rating of 119.7 is pretty stellar.

Some pretty shocking (ok, more disappointing but predictable) responses to the half time show …

He's the "most valuable" player because he has the football in his hands on essentially every offensive play. His numbers are good and he largely avoided negative plays, but I wouldn't say he was the main reason the Eagles won.

Here's where the Eagles' scoring drives started (not counting the pick 6) and the number of yards:

TD - PHI 31, 69 yards
FG - PHI 43, 27 yards
TD - KC 14, 14 yards
FG - PHI 20, 69 yards
TD - KC 46, 46 yards
FG - PHI 30, 40 yards
FG - KC 33, 1 yard

Two of the 3 offensive TDs started on the KC side of the field, as did 1 FG with another FG starting at midfield on the PHI 43. He started with a short field about half of the time the Eagles scored and that's due to the defense.

I get that it's hard for a defensive player to win MVP unless they just completely dominate or have the decisive defensive play (likely a scoring play) in a low-scoring, close game. And I'm guessing that, based on advanced statistical analysis, Hurts probably contributed the most as a single player to the Eagles winning the game. Given what the Philadelphia defense did, he'd have had to be fairly bad for the Eagles to have lost the game and it's difficult to say that the Eagles won because of him (which is what an MVP should be).

But the NFL isn't going to have a Super Bowl without an MVP, so I guess Hurts as the winning QB of the game dominated by the Eagles D as a whole was probably the inevitable choice.

The last TD cost me 2300 in a pool.. I had nfc 0 and afc 4..why Philly went on 4th down is a mystery. That hurt. Good news in another pool I had nfc 0 afc 2 and that won 200. Oh well.

He was more responsible than any other single player on the team.

He was the "Most Essential Player", but I guess as the winning team QB that if no one else has a dominant performance then you win by default.
