Tar Heels v Eagles at 9 pm: Biorhythms Here

Is Jaydon Young injured? He’s been a regular contributor off the bench, but nothing tonight.

Wilson & Veesaar combined for 33 points and 24 rebounds and 9 blocks, shooting 11-13 from the field. Which is pretty great.

But also reminded me of one of the best individual games I ever saw from a UNC player: in 2016, against conference opponent Florida State, Brice Johnson scored 39 points and pulled down 23 rebounds(!!!), shooting 14-16. He “only” blocked three shots (but you know against FSU).

That's a lot of O-rebs for Central. I missed the game because I was at a concert. Was it just long rebounds off missed threes? Or were we not taking care of the defensive glass?

Actually looking closer at the stats it's 8 O-rebs and 6 team O-rebs, so unlucky bounces account for a big part.

Honestly, I think it pretty much just came down to Central missing a lot of shots. They shot 16-66. When you miss 50 shots, it gives you a lot of opportunities for offensive rebounds.

Also, Hubert pulled the starters with a lot of time left. I think there may have been as many as 7 minutes left when they sat. So the lineup got a little smaller. And then he cleared the bench with a couple minutes left and the lineup got really small. I wouldn’t be surprised if several of those came at the end.

Harrison always struck me as a little too deliberate. It felt like he was holding back because he was thinking through everything, rather than let things be instinctual. Wilson’s on another level.
I can see that. Barnes was worried a lot about his brand as a player instead of just playing. Wilson also reminds me of Jamison and Marvin Williams.

That game was hilarious. I kept thinking: "there's no way that Brice is just going to keep hitting everything" and then he just kept hitting everything.

14/53 chances. Around 26%

Meanwhile, UNC got 12/28 offensive rebound chances. 43%
