Also, I thought Republicans liked when the federal government had fewer assets and the private sector more. That $159B is literally not affecting the nation's wealth. It's taking money out of one pocket and putting it in the other.

And if you don’t like American companies paying higher taxes then (checks notes from yesterday’s posts) then you are NOT A CONSERVATIVE!

Because only liberals could ever disagree with Trump on anything, like regime change of foreign nations, soaring deficits, tax policy, rampant fraud of taxpayers, harassment and murder of American citizens, violating the Constitution at every turn, overthrowing democracy, and stealing top military secrets, bribing foreign leaders to create phony narratives about your political rivals, banging porn stars, weakening NATO, destroying relationships with our allies, destroying markets for our farmers and other businesses through tariffs and intimidation, etc etc etc

In the last part of the interview they came to the conclusion that tariffs are incredibly sticky; the next President will probably not roll them back. Once you have that tax revenue coming in, it's very hard to give it up, particularly with the sizable deficit that being created in these four years.
