“…The U.S. Commerce Department has announced a 92% antidumping duty on pasta made in Italy by La Molisana and 12 other companies, which import the bulk of pasta from Italy to the U.S. That is on top of the Trump administration’s 15% tariff on imports from the European Union.

The Commerce Department acted after a long-running probe into pricing practices for the product that goes into everything from spaghetti Bolognese to mac and cheese. The severity of the decision has stunned one of Italy’s most iconic industries and has escalated into a diplomatic dispute between Washington and Rome, which is determined to combat the tariff….”

"State firms may be waiting for margins to recover before making large-scale purchases," said Johnny Xiang, founder of Beijing-based AgRadar Consulting. "Even with tariff waivers, margins remain negative and Brazilian beans are still cheaper."…”

So I'm trying to catch up on the history of the Trump Tax...

Whereas ; Trump has said that rising prices on goods and the beautiful word groceries is a hoax being pushed by Democrats and fake news, and

Whereas ; Trump has said that anyone who opposes the Trump tax is a fool, and

Whereas ; Trump has assured the American consumer that prices are actually way way down ; therefore be it

Resolved ; Trump will immediately make cuts in the Trump tax to slow the rise in prices on goods and beautiful word groceries

Say it isn't so! The long-term damage he's causing the USA is incalculable. And in this case the people he's hurting the most are soybean farmers (and American farmers generally) - which just happen to be one of his most loyal voting blocs.
