Terror Attacks in Europe | 28 injured in car attack in Munich

“… German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who was among the group of politicians that laid flowers at a church near the market, said that nearly 40 people were critically injured in Friday’s car-ramming …”

So he is a conspiracy theorist nut, but not a religious nut.

When minority religious nuts do things, the conspiracy theorist nuts spring into action, resulting in reprisals (both individual and frequently at the state level) against disfavored minorities.

When conspiracy theorist nuts do things, bad faith actors like you spring into action to prevent literally any type of response.

Sad as it is, the current system seems to produce less hardship for everyone when conspiracy nuts attack than when minority religious nuts attack.

Without some specifics, I honestly don't know what you are referring to in your post.

The interesting thing to me is that this attack at a Christmas market in Germany by an known anti-Islamic dissident occurred only 1 day after the 8th anniversary of a previous Christmas market attack in Berlin by an Islamic terrorist.

I don't necessarily think there is any connection, but if not the coincidence is eerie.

“… The head of the country’s federal police service confirmed on Saturday night that the agency had received a warning from Saudi Arabia in November 2023 about al-Abdulmohsen.

Holger Münch told the public broadcaster ZDF that police in the state of Saxony-Anhalt took “appropriate investigative measures” after the alert from the Saudi authorities.

Münch said that the alleged assailant, whom police said on Sunday had been charged with multiple counts of murder and attempted murder, had himself had various contacts with authorities, including “insults and sometimes threats”. …”

Car Hits Crowd in Germany, Injuring at Least 28 in Suspected Attack

Incident comes less than two weeks ahead of election and as world leaders gather in Munich for a security conference

“… It comes less than a month after German police detained an Afghan man suspected of stabbing two people to death, including a 2-year-old. That incident followed an attack in December when a Saudi national rammed a car into a busy Christmas marketin the city of Magdeburg, killing six people and injuring almost 300. …”

I've been severely scolded for posting this news. Glad we can finally pay attention,
I am going to agree with you. These things are relevant because they reverberate throughout politics. Whether they should or not is debatable but they do.

The unfortunate thing is that these incidents are likely to push more people in Germany to the far right.

I’m fine with the posting but @Batt Boy you don’t do yourself any favors affecting a whiny aggrieved tone.
Sure you feel that way. I get it. I posted months ago about a terror attack in Germany (this was stabbing, not a car ramming) and the old ZZLP guard sprang into action condemning the post and my commentary because as a poster said, "why do we care what happens in Germany." Again, glad we can now talk about it.

FWIW, anyone who doesn't get the subtext here of a wider conversation/discussion/debate about Islamic terrorism is sort of missing the context.
