Did this dumb-ass stupid reality show change the world? Seems to me that almost everything happening in the world today can be traced back to this idiotic television show.

1. A narcissistic megalomaniac who gets to call every single shot.
2. Every episode (daily? weekly? hourly?) needs a cliffhanger.
3. The good die young and the assholes are the ones who survive to the end.

I remember when The Real World changed the global television game. And then Survivor took it mainstream. Who could have ever thought, though, that reality TV would bring down the American Empire? Gibbon, to his everlasting credit, took six volumes. The collapse of Pax Americana can be described in a TV Guide.

Admittedly, I watched that first season and some of the second. Funny enough, the “appeal” of the show was tuning in to see how much of a buffoon Donald Trump was. You just had to laugh at how much of a dimwitted jackass he was and at his general lack of self-awareness while also being so self-absorbed.

He had run for president before as a Reform Party candidate, but no one took him seriously. Several years later, when there was more talk about him being a presidential candidate, it seemed comical. I didn’t see how anyone who watched him in The Apprentice could take him seriously as a candidate.

I remember that one time that Meatloaf wanted to beat the shit out of Gary Busey. Luckily John Rich and the dude from Sugar Ray were there to play peacemaker.

His star ascended amongst the right flank after he went after the GPOAT's birth certificate. That's when they knew he was truly one of them.

People are saying it was one of the worst reality shows in the country's history. Maybe the worst. Lousy ratings. A total failure. I heard they decided to end it because frankly no one was even watching it. NOT GOOD!
Disgraceful, in a way like you've never seen before. SAD!

Yes. Yes, it did. Mark Burnett needs to burn in hell for propping up such a dumbass. We watched in the early years and every single way he "governs" as President was there for all to see.

Trump aside, I just never saw the appeal of that show. It seemed like work to me and I watch TV to escape the real world, not feel like I am at work.

I also just don’t like reality TV. I hate the backstabbing and manufactured conflicts.
Back around that time, reality TV was about the only option you had with network TV/basic cable. Dark times.

Hate to admit that I watched Celebrity Apprentice. Always despised Trump. When the show started, I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to watch him. But I relented when Gene Simmons went on CA. Actually, Gene was a fairly early boot. I would've stopped right then, but the show had some celebs from my youth on (being generous) the downside of their careers.

I enjoyed them showing that fucking moron respect he didn't deserve. At least, they were doing it for charity. The funniest part was seeing Donald claim credit for their careers. What an ass. I documented my disdain for Trump in real time.

Boy do I hate I contributed in any way to his ego.

I am sorry to admit that I also watched it. Didn´t like tRUMP or his son, but the advisor and his daughter seemed to have some business sense at the time. The season with Trace Adkins and Pierce Morgan was actually pretty decent TV, for reality tv.

never watched. I already hated his ass and his ego. I had to let plenty of folk go in real-life but never said 'you're fired, EVER.
