Sorry I’m confused is Calla talking pizza or “left bad right good bizarre rant?” Seems like the shooting of the pizza place in DC must have been Antifa?

I don't think it's all that much of a mystery - Trumpers are desperate to pin Kirk's shooting on a "radical leftist" who was either "indoctrinated" by radical college professors or was somehow connected to transgenders or another group they hate. That would give his shooting meaning to them, as it would confirm in their minds that Kirk was indeed a hero and Christian saint who died fighting for his (and their) beliefs at the hands of their mortal enemies, the evil LibDem Deep State. And it would also give them license in their minds to go after and repress transgenders or universities or other liberal groups to an even greater degree and even more aggressively than they currently are. That's why right-wing media like Fox and Trumper pols are so desperately playing the blame game right now.

And if, as they likely secretly fear, the shooter turns out to be another disgruntled right-winger like the registered Republican who shot Trump, it will cause their whole narrative of "liberals are behind all of the current political violence/liberals are the ones who are escalating hateful rhetoric" to collapse. So here we are.

Proving a little context or disclaimer would be helpful, then. As posted, it comes across as a legit topic of discussion. She’s elevating ram’s bigotry by making it seem like a legit question. And I know she doesn’t agree with ram. Does everyone? I can’t believe people still don’t get that we are in an information war.

I think/hope that everyone here knows very well of the intellect and connection with reality that nycfan brings to bear. And that information war is exactly why we need to know every sordid detail of what the purveyors of untruths are disseminating.

There seems to be a pattern that falling from grace at Fox and being cast into the right-wing outer darkness drives many of these former celebrities insane. It is a rude fall from being an influential Fox superstar and center of attention to a virtual nobody with a much smaller audience on some lonely podcast or satellite radio or dinky right-wing network. Not only Kelly, but look at Tucker Carlson becoming ever more unhinged in his need to grab attention to try to stay relevant - it wouldn't surprise me at this point if he announces that left-wing vampires are sucking the blood of innocent church people around the country. Glenn Beck is more unhinged and paranoid than ever, and Bill O'Reilly has curdled into total bitterness and grumpy old man bitching about everything status. And it all couldn't have happened to a more deserving group of people, imo.

Get away from social media and all the “influencers” that are quoted here 1000 times a day. Seems many on this board feed into it and slurp it up. Seriously, what does it take to overthrow the US g’ment? Literally, the one person trump needed to begin a coup told him to fuck off? His generals didn’t like him. The tweets quoted on here are poison and do nothing but perpetuate the violent rhetoric that people on here and politicians say need to be eliminated. But I bet next week you guys will be right back to posting those very tweets and ginning yourselves up because it has become addictive to you. Either you are serious about changing the toxic discourse or not. If so it requires independent thought. Not influenced by social media.
