Just makes one wonder why/how lead gets in this product? As they say, get your groceries from the outer edges of the store and avoid the aisles in the middle. Surely there are other ramen type noodle products where reading the ingredients list doesn’t scare you.
Yeah, to be fair, I’m running low on these…

Which are my go to. Made by the Guangdong Health Food Company LTD. No Prop 65 and the ingredients are only: wheat flour, starch, salt, water (ha! never seen ’water’ on an ingredients list before), and shrimp powder. I make my own broth to go with them.

But I do also treat myself to the infinite variety of packaged noodles out there. Some people like ice cream... I like packaged noodles.

Now you’re talking. I’m a pushover for noodles of any kind too.
When I was a kid, my mother would spend all day making a killer bolognese for spaghetti that night… and all I wanted was the noodles in a bowl with a bit o butter. She would get pissed when I asked for noodles only, no sauce.

We made egg rolls last night.

We do this every few months. We are fairly inventive with the fillings. We had one traditional, one with seafood, and one with spicy chicken.

We had done some really interesting ones over time, like mac n cheese.

Simple burgers. Fresh ground chuck shoulder, 2x2oz patties, American cheese, griddled onions, pickles

Second cook on my Weber griddle insert. Was a definite game changer in terms of cranking out multiple burgers quick

Yes, the griddle is great for burgers.

I've also reduced mine to a smaller size, makes it much easier.

Need advice. Go? Or no go?

A good chunk of my pantry would be off limits if I slavishly adhered to these Prop 65 warnings, but I don’t recall the others specifically calling out lead. That’s giving me a slight pause.
Whelp, wish me luck. The deal I made with myself is to eat what I have, but not buy anymore Prop 65 labeled products.

Holy cow, that sounds good! Do you have a recipe?
I use chipotle peppers (usually canned in adobo sauce), crushed garlic, cilantro stems, salt, pepper, cinnamon, cilantro, achiote paste, and a little liquid (usually tomato pureed). Cook (sear and then braise, slow cook, instant pot, it all works very well). When done cooking I add the flower(?) part of the cilantro leaves and mix through. Somtimes I'll make a "stew" with the meat and add in carrots and potatoes (kind of like a guisado).

I'm making smashed burgers tonight.

Thinking about trying different seasonings than normal.

Got a good recipe to share, Mississippi Pot Roast

Put a 3-4 pound chuck roast in a slow cooker with a stick of butter, a packet of au jus mix, a packet of ranch dressing mix, 1/2 a jar of pepperoncinis with juice. Cook on low for 8 hours.

Mmm mmm mmm. Probably the easiest recipe I know, but it comes out really really good. Got one in now.

Was lazy last night and decided to eat a TJ's three cheese frozen pizza. I've never had bad pizza, and this one was another that I was fine eating. However, I tried adding McCormick's crushed jalapeno pepper seasoning to it. It really improved the taste. I'm a fan of the seasoning.
