The original Weather Thread has evolved into a Helene info and recovery thread, so thought it made the most sense to rebrand that one as Helene specific and start a new general Weather Thread.

I am spoiled b/c I usually experience accelerated Fall weather by spending most of October at our place in Seven Devils for leaf season. Sadly, not an option this year — place is fine but it would be outrageous to use local resources to stay up there right now, IMO.

The next five days look glorious (but for Helene):

That said, for those still without power up there, the plummeting evening temps probably are not welcome.

And realistically it is tough for me to work remotely without WiFi. I can do it via cell but a lot less efficient.
