Ok this little line coming through has some nasty wind with it

Oh, yeah. This late-afternoon line of storms coming through was much windier and worse than the one before noon that got all of the local TV weather people into such a frenzy. It was garbage collection day in our neighborhood, and we have empty garbage cans blown over all along the street.

Yeah, it looked good 7 days out for rain for a few days. Now it looks like Sunday is the only day we have a chance for rain next week, with highs going back down in the 60s for a few days. We could use some rain for the wildfires, too.

Looking at the weather channel future radar, the system is kind of breaking apart in the South. Of course Virginia is getting lots of rain.

Yesterday along the Neuse it was stunning how little water was in the river. I've not seen things like this in a long long time

The creeks are almost dry and the ponds are all dropping. And no rain in the 2 week forecast

Update: so the final band kind of held together and got us a half inch total here in OC. That was so needed, though apparently we are a foot under normal right now
