The first model looks more likely. If the wintry mix/rain line doesn’t go through Charlotte, then a model can be disregarded IMO. That rules out the second model here.

Pivotal is the site that had the model runs. Those are the latest GFS and Euro models.

Right now looks like more snow but the farther south you go from Wake the more ice you could get.

Yeah, I am on a couple. But I got a temp ban on one because the mods there are ridiculous. He got mad because I was copying pics of the model runs on the forum and posting them on another forum, even though anyone can look them up online. Oh, and he is a State fan, so makes sense.

In the last three hours, the default IPhone weather app has downgraded WS's snow amounts on Sunday from 16-20 inches to 16-19...

Saturday is still marked as 1-3 inches.

So...17-23 inches this weekend...looks like I'm using PTO next week for work for at least a day or two.

Southernwx.com has more people, but that's the one with the mods that take it way too seriously. Americanwx.com id the other. They have a southeast sub forum.
