This is costing me a hour's sleep today. Guess that's not too bad.

I go over on bad travel days so my son can drive his wife to work on bad weather weekends. She's essential personnel so he'll drive her in the 4 wheel drive truck while I go over in case my grandson wakes up. With the fresh snow, (Looks like 4 inches or so) I need to be over at 5:30 this morning. That's normally when I wake up. It's just not safe for me to leave the house without adequate coffee so I got up at 4:14. Hell, his front door is almost 75 feet away.

I made a final snow fall tally before the sun came out this morning from 28 open area locations at my home in southern Rowan County. Range 10.0 - 13.5”, average 11.5”, median 11.625”. This is going to take a while to melt.

Either things have changed a lot or they aren't students. When I was that age, no UNC student spelled dook that way.
I always spelled it Duke. To me, spelling it Duke was a reminder that they had sold, it wasn't stolen, they SOLD their good name--Trinity--to drug dealing Robber Barons. "A good name in man and woman, dear my lord, Is the immediate jewel of their souls: Who steals my purse steals trash; ’tis something, nothing; ’twas mine, ’tis his, and has been slave to thousands; But he that filches from me my good name Robs me of that which not enriches him, And makes me poor indeed." Othello, Act 3, Scene 3.

I get that. I've always considered them the most deadly drug dealing family that ever lived. I don't hold it against them because they didn't know better. ( not the last time that name and phrase will coincide).
