One reason that many Trumpers love Dear Leader so is because they feel as though he has given them permission to climb out from under their rocks and be their worst (real?) selves in public. You're a homophobic bigot? No need to hide anymore and watch what you say, just follow Dear Leader's lead and be as obnoxious and as much of an ass on the topic as you want to be! Nothing in that polling shows Republicans "do not want trans people to exist or have any rights", IMO.

if way less than half = "lots" then how do you categorize significantly more than half on the right who hold those opinions? its a majority/mainstream position on the right and very much a minority thing with everyone else.

holy shit, dude. only 38% of republicans think that trans people should be protected from discrimination in basically every facet of life.

how do you fail to grasp the implications of that polling?

IF you automatically associate "far-right" with "believing the Big Lie", yes. I don't necessarily agree with that. There are lots of "big lies" that people of any political party fall for... flat earth.... astrology.... any of a list of anti-semitic beliefs..

I don't know exactly how to define far-right, but I don't think being convinced of one bad idea should be the only criteria.

I don't think being 'in' the files is an automatic pedo. I'm sure there were lots of associates mentioned that had no part in the criminal activity.
 
Quite the jump you're making there. Trump and Epstein ran in the same circles (like most of the elite in Palm Beach/Manhattan) for 15 years so it's not surprising. I guess you're thinking THIS is what finally brings Trump down and you'll be able to see him frog marched out of the White House and/or Mar -a-Lago and into jail (liberal fantasy for the past 10 years).

Common sense strongly suggests that the Biden Admin would have released or leaked to the public any harmful information on Trump in the Epstein files prior to the last election. They were engaged in lawfare across multiple jurisdictions; were trying to keep him off the ballot in several states; raided his home for 7 hours; impeached him twice; and were extremely sloppy and casual about his Secret Service security detail so leaking the Epstein files isn't a stretch.

I can genuinely understand your thinking on the first three. I don't agree, but I can understand why you would think that. How could you POSSIBLY think Trump is draining the swamp, though? This administration is BY FAR the swampiest we have ever seen. I just can't see any possible way to think that. Even Trump has stopped using that phrase for the most part.

He's not thinking. Nobody in MAGA thinks. MAGA is a purely emotional response.

Making DOGE cuts and ending sweat heart deals to liberal NGOs via USAID
Pulling out, by the roots, all DEI programs. It was discovered that the Dept of Trans. spent 80B on DEI.
Reducing climate regulations
Reforms to the Pentagon - ending DEI, transgender and drag shows in military
Firing the political hacks in the DOJ, CIA and State Department
Declassifying Obama era memos showing how involved Obama, Brennan, Clapper, Comey were in pushing the Steele Dossier and Russia Collusion narrative.
Reducing the federal work force
Ending loose work from home rules
Ending subsidies to liberal entities PBS and NPR
Civil Service reform
Modernizing the Department of Transportation and air traffic controller equipment - Buttigieg purposely put off modernization since it would put more plans in the skies hurting the climate
FDA reforms and removal of artificial dyes from our food.
Transforming border control and ICE from a travel agency ("where would you like to go and stay") for illegal immigrants to it's original purpose

You get the idea.
 
Republicans like to say that if the Epstein files showed criminal activity by Trump, Biden would have released it.

In the same vein, if USAID were truly a slush fund for the president and other government officials, Trump would not only have kept it, he would have expanded it.
