Want to know more about Charlotte from someone trying to put as nice of a spin on it as possible?

Just saw a female summer tanager on our feeder. I don't think all of them are this shade but this one is the sickliest shade of orange.

We have a large quantity of quail that live around our house. Why is it that quail seems to prefer running rather than flying out of the way of incoming vehicles?

Everytime I see that video, I am always amazed at how long West Virginia stays blank. With a large chunk of West Virginia being in the US NRQZ (United States National Radio Quiet Zone - Wikipedia), you would think that Blockbuster and WVA would be a match made in Heaven.

I’ve seen several variations on the Peanuts play a rock song (including Tom Sawyer by Rush) but this is a good one.

Every day for the next ten days is going to be the same when read backwards:

5/20/25
5/21/25

5/25/25
5/26/25
5/27/25
5/28/25
5/29/25
If you are claiming we aren't going to know whether we are coming or going for the next ten days, then I think that particular problem for me is going to last a lot longer.

I guess that's one of those phenomenon that happen once a year when there is a different relationship between the year and the month number?

Sort of like getting married on February 5th this year so their wedding date is 2/5/25.

Jan 2nd, 2034 will be a good day: 1/2/34

This reminded me I had accidentally noticed the same sort of thing in April last year:
with five numbers, 4/20/24, 4/22/24; with seven, 4/20/2024
That made me think of a further two years past set, 2/20/22; 2/20/2022

There are more, but my useless brain distraction work is done here.

I'm not really too much into the cute/smart grandkids' stories. I mean, I'm never winning an ugly grandbaby contest and they do a pretty good job of steering around corners and through doorways but my youngest shocked me just now.

He was 4 in January and just walked in while I was reading the board. He looked at the computer and asked me why it said Zigga Zoomba Lounge, pronouncing it correctly. I have no idea that he's seen or heard it before. Not totally surprised at his reading. That's been going on a while but didn't quite expect that one. Of course, I have it on good authority that a lot of his relatives are a little strange.
