Yes, these days they are.the Democrats truly are a bunch of useless bumblefucks
My guess is he's looking at the polls and sees the writing on the wall. I'm guessing we will be seeing several more GOP retirements in the next year.Hate to defend Tillis too much but almost everything Trump has said about him and the State of North Carolina is a lie, so it would be unfortunate if that actually broke him. I have a feeling this has been a long time coming.
Agree with you. I don’t really know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, though. On one hand- and on paper at least- you would like to think that the retirement of “normie” republicans and the likely inevitable replacement of them by far right lunatic candidates, should theoretically help the Democrats pick up a lot of congressional seats next fall. On the other hand, it’s not like the Democratic Party is doing so swell right now and the retirement of the few remaining normie Republicans means that there will be fewer and fewer and fewer barriers and obstacles to all out far right nuttiness in the GOP. Kind of a double edged sword, I reckon. My guess is he's looking at the polls and sees the writing on the wall. I'm guessing we will be seeing several more GOP retirements in the next year.
It has been. Combine what is surely a morale-busting work environment, having to kiss up to people like MTG or Markwayne Mullin, and the high probability that he will lose an election in a Dem tidal wave environment. I'm only surprised that he didn't announce it before.Hate to defend Tillis too much but almost everything Trump has said about him and the State of North Carolina is a lie, so it would be unfortunate if that actually broke him.
