Tim Walz

I confess that I do not know the ins and outs of the fraud.

Did Walz commit fraud or was it the fraudsters who were indicted by the U.S. attorney ?

I think the state GQPers have been calling on Walz to leave office because he failed to sufficiently address the scandal.

Can someone help me understand this ?
I think the idea was that the fraudsters were not Tim Walz or people in his administration but his team didn't do enough to crack down on it. I may be wrong or it may come out later that someone in his administration had their fingers in the cookie jar but I believe that's all for now.

Kind of surprised if that's all it is that it was enough to make him walk away as a popular governor and potential presidential candidate. It might turn out to be a really big fraud but the federal government would share quite a bit of the blame for this I would think. I'm not sure who actually administers the programs.

The MAGA asshole stochastic terrorists have been targeting his family and his son Gus. I suspect that played a significant role.

Of course the federal government from 2020 is to blame. The fraud was uncovered and prosecuted in 2022 by Biden's DOJ.

Amazing how this wouldn't affect a Republican for even a 24 hour news cycle.
Walz was Gov. when Somalis committed fraud in Federal Autism, Medicaid, etc. It's fair in that the Governor and state DOJ should have an eye out. But so should the POTUS from 2020. I wonder who that could be?

Trump is an actual ringleader in continued fraud in crypto, branding, emoluments, real estate imperialism that are ongoing real time. Walz will pay the price in politics for being asleep at the wheel. That's how it should be.

OK dude. Again, check the meds. Or maybe take another break. Seems you're struggling again.
It's not the meds. It's the "THIS IS OUR HEMISPHERE" policy pursued by the administration. It's the fact that Trump has put us closer to nuclear war than we have been in 40 years. If he invades Greenland, which seems increasingly likely, it will start a world war.

The thing about Trump is that -- as he has said -- he doesn't kid. When he talks about something enough, it usually comes to happen. So will he try to make Canada a 51st state? It's a real possibility. Will he wage war with Mexico. I'd say better than 50% odds right now.

The people who need meds are the ones who aren't pissed.

This is correct. That President during 2020 *should* pay a price because the Fraud was primarily absconding with FEDERAL $$.

Ok, then maybe just a break so you don't let this take you into another spiral. It's not worth it.

I don’t really know, but if she does I think she will find she has very little chance to win the nomination as well.
She needs to win a senate or governors race first and she has a pretty good chance. She would love to knock off Schumer.

The last time the presidential nomination was won by someone who was not a president, vice president, senator, Governor or general before Trump was almost 100 years ago. Hoover was the Secretary of commerce.

Eisenhower, Grant, Taylor and Washington were the only ones elected president who didn't also have at least one of those other offices. There were several others who won a nomination of a major party but didn't actually win the presidency like Winfield Scott and George McClellan.

I don't have spirals the way you think I do, and my anger right now is righteous and justified.

I know it feels that way to you right now, and that's why a break would be a great idea. You do realize you just posted about vaccinating chickens like it was serious, right?

I was a lowly production assistant on this one. Get Cristoph Walz his coffee kind of role. But, obviously a once in a lifetime experience as a film lover.
Definitely a badass production to have gotten to work on. And Walz sounds like an incredible guy, all around.

Yes, Gavin currently. I think Pete Buttigieg will eventually be in that mix, along with Josh Shapiro, Andy Beshear, maybe even someone like Wes Moore.

Beshear, Shapiro, Moore would be my choices on the DNC side. On the Republican side, Vance is a disaster as a candidate. Nikki very occasionally has shown some ethics...but not much.

I doubt a never Trumper would run...a Romney, Alan Simpson, or a Chuck Hagel-type are scarce today. GOP'ers with honor. Jeff Flake wouldn't receive the support. Susan Molinari has been out of politics for too long. Adam Kinzinger, Will Hurd would be lucky to receive any support.

I don't see anyone on the Republican side being able to rise above Trump's influence this election, but probably the next one.
