My dad is retiring. More due to health than a general desire to quit working. But he has expressed his desire to give me his home (too large, Too much to keep up with, I will inherit it anyway etc) And for me to build him a tiny home on the far end of his property, which I just refer to as The Farm. He wants me to buy two conex boxes (shipping containers) and go from there. That seems expensive. Do any of you have any experience with prefab homes from overseas? Google searches reveal options but it's hard to know which companies can be trusted.

Tons of youtube videos on this topic. My recollection is that shipping containers are a very expensive way to do tiny homes.
