To eat or not to eat? (Fridge left open overnight)

So our fridge kinda sucks. You always have to make sure the doors close all the way, and sometimes it’s hard to tell just by looking at it from a distance. Apparently I didn’t do a good job of that last night when I used the water dispenser in the fridge before bed. Around 7:30 this morning, my wife noticed one of the fridge doors didn’t close all the way. The fridge temperature had gotten up to 52. It would have been open for approximately 8 hours.

There’s not too much in the fridge I’m worried about, but there are dairy products like yogurt and cream cheese.

What say you, ZZL. Would you eat anything and everything that had been left in the fridge? Or would you throw out certain things?

don't throw anything away. Getting food poisoning from eating the stuff is no big deal. Chances are you won't get food poisoning, but if you do you only spend a few days with stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea ;)
 
Many Europeans generally don't put dairy products (milk, butter, cheese) in the fridge to start with, but in your case I'm not sure if having been refridgerated and then coming back to room temp might make the sitution different...

Very doubtful. Not for dairy.
 
When in doubt throw it out. That’s the restaurant code.
But you aren’t a restaurant.
Agree with everyone else about the dairy stuff.
