Today Show's Savannah Guthrie's mom kidnapped - FBI releases detained person, was a delivery driver.

How can they believe Nancy Guthrie is alive? When she was first abducted, we were told she was without medication and if she didn’t get it within 24 hours it could be fatal. It’s been ten days yet they keep saying they believe she is alive. I guess those meds were as mandatory as they first stated.
 
Sadly, I believe that she is dead and the kidnappers are back in Mexico where they will likely never be found. They will recover her body when someone stumbles across it through happenstance.

I heard on some TV media report the ransom demand alluded to by Savannah in her “we are willing to pay” video yesterday was $5 million in Bitcoin.

That might be what pushed me over the edge. Already in the middle of a most horrifying family situation and now is the time that I have to figure out how to conduct a transaction in Bitcoin.
 
Was reading Reddit and while I'm not going to post the comments, some people sleuthed out that a med evac helicopter flew from south of Tucson to a medical center. Implication being that perhaps they found her alive. Think we'll hear more about this in the next handful of hours.

I really hope that is the case. I've thought for a few days that it was unlikely that she would be recovered safely.

I can’t remember if it was this thread or Twitter or what but someone said, well if they’ve detained a person, we definitely know it’s not that person.
 


They told him he was being arrested for kidnapping Nancy Guthrie and he had no idea who that was.

Good lord.
