TONIGHT!! Biorhythms: Exhibition v Winston-Salem State

A lot of sloppiness which is to be expected I suppose. Caleb Wilson looks great. Really wish we could see Luka bu alas…
 
A bit sloppy but overall I feel like the team looks so much more physical than last season.

Hope Veesaar can get it going. He looks uncomfortable out there, at least during the possessions I saw.
 
Thank goodness they aren’t hitting threes (neither are we). It did look like our defense around the perimeter was at least passable in the last 8 minutes at least.

We got outrebounded 23-19. Both teams gave up an unacceptable number of offense rebounds (UNC had 8 and BYU 10).

Lots of turnovers, too. BYU coughed it up 8 times, UNC 11. It’s early and it’s like these guys just met at the Y before the game to some extent, I know.

Only down 4 under the circumstances is not great but it could be a whole lot worse.

The little Caleb Wilson highlight reel they just ran looked great.
 
Wow. Don’t know about that foul call on Wilson. But preseason for the refs, too.
 
A ton of action to start the half. Guys came out with fire. Dybansta has a bit of a ball hog tendency even as great as he is.

Turnovers hurting UNC

These guys are playing hard on both teams but not always efficiently. Fortunately BYU remains cold from 3, including forcing a few. Their huge dude inside is getting some offensive rebounds as we sell out on the perimeter.
 
BYU finally hits a three and converts several UNc turnovers and gets some helpful very late foul calls to go up 5, heels cut it to 50-53 b
 
BYU getting something like home cooking from the refs here but they are the aggressors I guess.
 
Heels take a timeout down 64-61 with the ball. Wilson looked a little shaken after that foul (he missed both FTs pretty badly after looking good from the strike earlier) and guys are starting to look gassed.
 
UNC with some nice work after the timeout.

Heels 65, BYU 64, Seth on the line for the and 1 chance after the timeout out by BYU.
