Tough Carolina Point Guards

Phelps would play concussed back when we didn’t have modern-day concussion protocols.
He played hurt the whole championship run. Dean said that near the end of that game, Reese said something about being tired and Phelps stood up and said, "I'll tell you when you are tired.". Among Phelps, Lynch and Montross, that team might have had 3 of the toughest 25 to play here.
 
George Karl and Steve Previs...THAT is THE only answer....
I like that combo, I remember George Karl lying on the basketball floor and being blatantly kicked hard in the back by a South Carolina player. Those days of John Roach & company were as combative as any I've witnessed in UNC history.
Screw little carolina . . !
We've had some great PGs in our times since then.

ETA, that '72 team was and still is one of my all time favorite teams.
