Tropical Storm Erin —> Cat 5 Erin

The speed with which this went from TS to Cat 5+ is frightening. There are so many more storms to come this fall and some will hit the US somewhere, and could have a similar ramp up. I’m fearing bad things and a Trump FEMA response (ie nothing). It could be very bad.

NC is still waiting on help from them for Helene.

Interests along the North Carolina and Mid-Atlantic coasts,
and Bermuda should monitor the progress of Erin as there is a risk
of strong winds associated with the outer rainbands during the
middle part of the week.
