Trump at the UN | Escalatorgate!!!

I did not see escalatorgate coming, even after seeing the escalator stall. I guess it’s one way to pay zero attention to what Trump actually said, but also try to Charlie Kirk that little jolt on the escalator.

Those guys all saw right thru Donald fucking Trump and asshats just like him. They knew what America was bc they had fought for it, as normal everyday regular citizens, and made the world they gifted us. No chance they would give that up to a coward grifter who draft dodged and is the biggest con man this side of Bernie madoff.

It is just so obvious to me. You know how when folks debate the MVP in any given sport will point to a team's w/l record when that guy was out? Well, the "Greatest Generation" proved that they deserve to be so named in their own lifetimes and now again in their absence.


So mpaer, while I do totally agree with you on how our forefathers would react, I have to say I even more so lament the fact that they are not here to course correct our country (and world order) that they bestowed upon us.



Apologies for extra rant here, but what is also so crazy to me is that MAGAts want to return to some wonderful past of yore while at same time tossing out the exact same things that made that past so "great" -- ie, the US as the unquestioned global leader which made us so prosperous for 70 years. They are literally tossing out the world WE owned and shitting on the legacies of all who made that, all while claiming to venerate them and to be the champions of their memory. Everything about maga is just so fucking 180 of truth and reality that it absolutely does scare me beyond what I thought was possible in this country that I still love.

No, Donald Trump is the joke. That speech was an epic disaster, no matter how many MAGAs try to defend it. Telling other nations that their countries are going to hell while he's been "really good" at running the USA (LOL), rambling on with complaints about how the UN didn't hire him to develop the UN building, bragging that he's ended seven "unendable" wars and deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, threatening a technician during his speech because his microphone wasn't working - it's all just a PR nightmare for the USA. And neither he nor his idiot followers care. We're completely shredding our hard-won global reputation and I'm not sure if any future POTUS can get it back at this point. But just a head-shaking disaster of a speech, no question.

I've always thought that if something like the Rapture ever did occur, then an awful lot of Religious Right Evangelicals are going to be very surprised when they're among those "Left Behind" with all the sinners. My guess is that a good many conservative churches will still be full the next Sunday, filled with surprised people baffled as to why they weren't among those chosen to ascend.
