Jewish students and professors are such an important group at the university. I just don't see Columbia doing anything institutionally to discriminate against them, it's not just incomprehensible it's not even feasible.

Things I find interesting:

1. Most of the masked protestors appear to be female (I’m speaking about all of the post Oct 7th protests). Recent mugshots confirm this; and

2. From the sample of mugshots I’ve viewed, a disproportionate number of these females are of Asian descent.

I've given the whole deporting foreign students a lot of thought. I have two kids studying in the States and have told them to steer clear of any protests for either side (I don't think my kids are the protesting types...but when girls are involved anyone can do stupid things).

This really is first rate intimidation. Foreign students have the same rights of freedom of speech as US citizens.

Think this should apply to all students:
Be allowed to protest? Yes
Be allowed to yell your balls off? yes
Be allowed to intimidate/harass other students? No
Be allowed to deface or destroy university property? No

Yep. For those who care to notice, the GOP is following Orban's playbook almost to the letter. Gain control of the vast majority of your nation's news and social media outlets, use your control of government to make it nearly impossible for opposing political parties to gain any footing to oppose you and give your party every possible advantage so that it's nearly impossible for them to lose, drive out every vestige of liberalism in public schools and universities, including ending academic freedom, tenure, rewriting curricula to make it right-wing and favorable to your political party, and fire any professor or teacher who won't go along with the new rules and regime. And pack the trustees of private universities with your supporters so that they also lose their academic freedom and turn into right-wing academies that support your party's political goals. And, last but not least, use your control of government to bully and intimidate and harass any corporation or law firm or group that won't do your bidding or might oppose or criticize you in any way. In other words, bully them into silence.

It's all a direct attack on the Bill of Rights and the very basics of our political system. And yet half the country is celebrating it. A very, very dark time for the country.
 
Just in case one doesn’t know, Columbia’s undergraduate student body is 22-23% Jewish and its graduate students are 15.9% Jewish according to Hillel.

Ten percent of New York City residents are Jewish; 2.4% of Americans are Jewish. Twenty-one percent of Columbia undergraduates are from New York; 16% from California.
