And you support fascism, racism, bigotry, Christian nationalism, a crook, a fraud, a convicted felon, a guy who bragged about sexually assaulting women, a guy who tried to get Russia to interfere in an election for him, who tried to steal an election, and then incited an attempted insurrection when that didn't work.

If you can't see the difference between what Trump was saying in 2016 and what he's saying today, that's on you. I know conservatives have sworn off the news sources that report actual facts, but it might be worth keeping an eye on them every now and then.
This is where you and I have such a disconnect. How in the world you can utter this: "I know conservatives have sworn off the news sources that report actual facts, but it might be worth keeping an eye on them every now and then." with a straight face or not embarrassed to say it is beyond me given how utterly corrupt / misleading / and full of lies the media you consume has been over the last several years. Its blatant hypocrisy. What's worse, you don't even care that you have been misled or lied to. Its funny to see libs brag about their media and hold it up as some beacon of light while story after story comes out about their obvious intent to mislead and suppress information. Here's the truth. Just like everything else, you have lost any semblance of higher ground in your political and media universe. Now you guys actually sound dumb when saying it.

We had an opportunity to ignore Trump. It was by electing Kamala as the next president. Now that the plurality of Americans have decided to make him the most powerful person in the world, we can't ignore him. That's what the callatoroys cant understand. You can apologize for Trump all you want. But the man is the commander in chief of the most powerful army in human history, and he's the putative leader of the free world. If you excuse him by saying he won't do what he's promised to do, or by chalking him up as an "exaggerator," that's not our issue. You idiots put him in this position. Don't blame us when we use his words against you.
I agree 100% but that is a bit different than what I was referring to. I am wondering if we are playing into Putin’s hands when we react to Putin making statements that make it appear that Trump and Putin are in collusion.

I would never think twice about criticizing the things that Trump himself says or does.

I say that because sometimes I think Putin or his media does intentionally try to get us to fight. But, again, Trump does nothing to stop it.

Sigh. You're going to feel like such an idiot 30 years from now when you read the history of this era. You'll be wondering how you could have possibly been such a dumbass. Or, like current Lost Causers, you'll still be finding ways to make excuses for it.

I don't think Calla makes it to 90, or has that kind of capacity for reflection and growth.

I'm going to guess B.

This seems like a really bad idea.
It's terrible for our national security and the integrity of the civil service. But BRING. IT. ON. This is what callatoroy has been promising us will never happen, Trump's promises be damned. Let's see what it looks like when our government loses the people who keep it functioning. MAGA broke it. Let's see if they can buy it.

Who's writing that history? If I'm wrong I have absolutely no trouble admitting it.

None of it happens without trump. Winning

Your last sentence is the likeliest outcome.

Speaking of the Lost Cause, I wonder how many of our MAGAts took Lost Cause catechism classes growing up?

I happen to agree with this. "White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan is making a robust case for the incoming Trump administration to hold over career government employees assigned to the NSC at least through the early going of the new administration."

However, given the number of people who worked in trump 1.0 that tried to undermine him and leak to the press, I understand where they are coming from.

I'm sure you are correct. However, that lack of intelligence is on them. There are people on this board who only consume left leaning media and immediately dismiss anything from a right leaning source. You gave me one individual who doesn't lie. I'm going to take your word for it. She works for a network that does. They all do. You will also notice that I'm not on this board boasting about the media the right consumes and acting as if they never lie. Lawtig's comment on the media is cringe worthy coming from an educated person. If someone automatically dismisses something just because of the source then its a sign of a lack of intelligence and they aren't a serious person.

You talking about my post about the media on page 9? Yeah, I stand by that 100%. I’m not dismissing them. I’m commenting on their difficulty in dealing with Trump’s never ending stream of bullshit, which you help to amplify here.

Incoming Trump Team Is Questioning National Security Council Staff Over Loyalty

Nonpolitical career civil servants are reportedly being grilled over who they voted for, their political contributions and more.

"... At least some of these nonpolitical employees have begun packing up their belongings since being asked about their loyalty to Trump — after they had earlier been given indications that they would be asked to stay on at the NSC in the new administration, the official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive personnel matters.

... Trump’s pick for national security adviser, Florida Rep. Mike Waltz, in recent days publicly signaled his intention to get rid of all nonpolitical appointees and career intelligence officials serving on the NSC by Inauguration Day to ensure the council is staffed with those who support Trump’s agenda.
A wholesale removal of foreign policy and national security experts from the NSC on Day 1 of the new administration could deprive Trump’s team of considerable expertise and institutional knowledge at a time when the U.S. is grappling with difficult policy challenges in Ukraine, the Mideast and beyond. Such questioning could also make new policy experts brought in to the NSC less likely to speak up about policy differences and concerns.

...The NSC staff members being questioned about their loyalty are largely subject matter experts who have been loaned to the White House by federal agencies — the State Department, FBI and CIA, for example — for temporary duty that typically lasts one to two years. If removed from the NSC, they would be returned to their home agencies.

Vetting of the civil servants began in the last week, the official said. Some of them have been questioned about their politics by Trump appointees who will serve as directors on the NSC and who had weeks earlier asked them to stick around. There are dozens of civil servants at the directorate level at the NSC who had anticipated remaining at the White House in the new administration.

A second U.S. official told the AP that he was informed weeks ago by incoming Trump administration officials that they planned on raising questions with career appointees that work at the White House, including those at the NSC, about their political leanings. The official, who was not authorized to comment publicly, however, had not yet been formally vetted. ..."

What could go wrong 😐

No, your comment on page 11.

Anything short of condemnation is amplification to you. What bullshit did I amplify? I credited him for getting the EU to man up on the cost of their defense and said he was wrong for getting rid of all non trump, non political personnel at the NSC immediately.

Make it to 90? Likely not. Lol at your comment on reflection and growth. Pretty rich coming from a guy who spends his days as a member of the zzl TDS cult where 90% of the comments are just repeating how bad trump is. What type of reflection and growth are you getting? Someone creates a new dig at trump and you say "damn, I wish I had thought to say that."

From CNN: "While there may be no easy way to gauge what the majority of Greenland’s residents think about Trump’s ideas, Chemnitz suggested a referendum on Greenlandic independence could be held in future, and that closer collaboration with the US on business, defense, raw materials and tourism could come about as a result."

Not a bad consolation prize and I suspect the real goal because acquiring it isn't very likely.

I was thinking about this and how this is simply Putin sowing discord in the US. I believe he does that a lot.

In one sense, I feel responsible when I react to these things. That is what Putin wants. He wants us fighting over whether Trump and Putin have some sort of arrangement, whether Trump is compromised, etc.

But ultimately this is all on Trump. By never standing up to Putin, he opens the door for all of this.

If Trump isn't compromised, I simply don't understand why he doesn't tell Putin to f' off when Putin says things like that. After all, it doesn't present Trump in a good light. But, for whatever reason Trump never does that. It might just be that Trump is so enamored with Putin's flattery. The only thing we know for sure is that Putin plays Trump like a fiddle.

(Also note that I am operating under the assumption that Russian state TV does in fact speak for Trump.)
I agree with you that Putin regularly sows discord in the USA, including leaning into crazy Trump statements.
