No reason to comment on all that is going on in Trump world until things have time to play out. The tariff issue worked itself out and Trump didn’t plunge the economy into a 2nd Great Depression. I see no reason to weigh in at every step while the sausage is being made.Bingo. Scroll back a few pages and I predicted all the Trump voters here who have been silent for 3-4 days would be here defending this nonsense just as soon as the right wing media gave them their talking points.
Wow, agreeing to declare a terrorist organization a terrorist organization. We don’t know that. It appears Trump got additional concessions like the joint strike force and Canada agreeing to declare the cartel as a terrorist organization. Also, there will be additional negotiations over the next 30 days while the pause is in effect.
Did you see Trudeau's announcement. He said multiple times, "we are and will be."We don’t know that. It appears Trump got additional concessions like the joint strike force and Canada agreeing to declare the cartel as a terrorist organization. Also, there will be additional negotiations over the next 30 days while the pause is in effect.
He got a show.He got nothing for all that.
Sheinbaum literally entertained Trump with a bit of military theater. I’m really struggling to see how it can be justified as a win for him.It seems like Canada and Mexico are managing Trump rather well. The biggest parts of their promises to him are things they either made a deal with Biden for, or things they were already planning to do. If you can make the same promise twice and get a lunatic off your back, all the better.
Oh yeah, totally agree. Mexico and Canada both pantsed our resident carnival barker.Sheinbaum literally entertained Trump with a bit of military theater. I’m really struggling to see how it can be justified as a win for him.
I'm pretty sure Mexico decreased their troop commitment. Trump, of course, being clueless, thought Mexico had zero troops. So when she said 10K, Trump jumped on it. Never mind that there were 15K there last year. LOL.It seems like Canada and Mexico are managing Trump rather well. The biggest parts of their promises to him are things they either made a deal with Biden for, or things they were already planning to do. If you can make the same promise twice and get a lunatic off your back, all the better.
Does Trump get to call it a win and MAGA and the GOP agree?Sheinbaum literally entertained Trump with a bit of military theater. I’m really struggling to see how it can be justified as a win for him.
Then why are you posting now?No reason to comment on all that is going on in Trump world until things have time to play out.
Sweet Jesus. You’re such a mark.We don’t know that. It appears Trump got additional concessions like the joint strike force and Canada agreeing to declare the cartel as a terrorist organization. Also, there will be additional negotiations over the next 30 days while the pause is in effect.
uWow, agreeing to declare a terrorist organization a terrorist organization.
What amazing results. Well worth all of the market fluctuation, diminished relationship with our closest allies, and new opportunities given to China to fill the international trade vacuum that was created by our fickle leader proving the U.S. couldn't be trusted to have our allies' backs.
Gullible cucks, each and every one of yo
Crisis well on its way for a successful resolution in US’s favor. Thus, time to comment. Waiting to see how DOGE and the other policies play out. Then why are you posting now?
It’s silly to think anything meaningful or enforceable was agreed to today. Remember when Trump pulled out a single sheet of paper from his coat pocket and said it was his health care plan that he was about to release? I doubt this will end up being appreciably different.
Because declaring the cartel a terrorist organization accomplishes NOTHING. It's of dubious legality, and it's pointless. It will be a litigation magnet and cost us money in lawyers' fees for no reason.u
If it was such a no brainer why didn’t the last administration declare the cartel a terrorist organization as all hell was breaking out on the border with human trafficking and fentanyl? No, Biden was more interested in REMOVING the Houthi Rebels from having that designation - and that sure worked out well.
1. The crisis was started by Trump;Crisis well on its way for a successful resolution in US’s favor. Thus, time to comment. Waiting to see how DOGE and the other policies play out.
Trump is all theater. He accomplishes nothing except to destroy the credibility of the United States.Because declaring the cartel a terrorist organization accomplishes NOTHING. It's of dubious legality, and it's pointless. It will be a litigation magnet and cost us money in lawyers' fees for no reason.
The terrorist designation means that people can't send money to the cartels. People already can't send money to the cartels under the Drug Enforcement Act, various anti-money laundering statutes, and federal reserve regulations.
I don't think in Canada there are *any* consequences to being declared a terrorist organization. I don't think Canada has any special laws that would apply. About that, I could be wrong as I'm no expert in Canadian law. But it is 100% true that the cartels are exactly as safe and cushy today as they were last week.
