Probably the least bad outcome for this appointment, IMO.

Rubio’s evolution from moderate inheritor of the GHWB “compassionate conservative” / pro-immigration / Nikki Haley ally politician in 2015 to L’il Marco Trump lapdog now has been sort of sad to behold, to be honest. But he has the requisite experience for the post.

Having said that, I could easily see him picking a Moms for Liberty, homeschooler type for Secretary of Ed. Just get somebody in there who will go along with his goal of abolishing the department entirely.

And I'm certain of one thing - when things inevitably go south for Trump posters like you will vanish from this board in the same way that Melania was practically AWOL from Trump's entire campaign.

Trump can go golfing all he wants—he’ll let his advisers and henchmen do all the dirty work and he’ll just have a big press conference where he signs a bill or whatever. It’s precisely what he did last time around.

Difference is that his advisers and henchmen have a set of guiding principles in Project 2025 that they didn’t have before, and they’ll face much less resistance this time around because they’ve already rooted out anyone who doesn’t swear allegiance to Trump.

One thing is for certain.....neither Cuba nor China can expect any favors from Rubio. He despises commies....(and rightly so).
