This could be said everyday about the both the Trump administration and those who voted for him.I'm not sure they thought this through.
Said the unelected potentate to the duly elected representative of the people.
Link? I don't see anyone in this thread using the phrase "completely false."And I was responding to a poster who said it was "completely false" that Biden's 5.25T in additional spending was in any way inflationary. Of course it was.
Yeah, would totally be political suicide for a guy that got elected despite two impeachments, upteen felonies, etc etc etc and also happens to be a lame duck president.Trump's budget proposal for each year in his first term included cuts to SS. why can't they simply look at his history and understand that he doesn't give a fuck about SS?
I swear I at first that referred to a Mr. "wetback" -- thank goodness, no. But really, cite a 528-year-old case??? Maybe go back and cite the Witchfinder General, too, since Alito likes him (I think it was Alito).
Das Volk <> "the people" and we know exactly which one of those the fascists always mean.So does rule of the people include getting rid of the Electoral College? Musk is defending his own actions as the will of the people (an election, even though he was not elected). So wouldn't the actual will of the people be the majority of voters? So he sees Trump's first term as being fraudulent? Not of the will of the people?
No he didn't. You see, he obtained a completely unenforceable promise from the man that he would not do what he has spent his whole life doing, that he said repeatedly while running for president that he would do, and has a financial interest in continuing to do so.It is so sad that these GOPers in Congress are so afraid of Trump. Dr. Cassidy just violated his Hippocratic Oath:
" I will follow that system of regimen which, according to my ability and judgment, I consider for the benefit of my patients, and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous."
Except Gaetz, who is now the moral floor for the GOP.All of Trump's Cabinet picks will be confirmed. Certain Senate Pubs will hem and haw but ultimately capitulate. There are no checks against Trump's (and fElon's) agenda this time.
Does. Not. Matter.Will. Not. Matter.
I considered adding the phrase "that come to a vote" to my first sentence but didn't bother. Gaetz was so laughably unfit and unqualified that he doesn't even count, imo. He was a sacrificial lamb to give Senate Pubs moral cover to confirm the remaining shitshow nominees. Even so, Pub pols are so beholden to Trump that I think a confirmation vote for Gaetz would have been close.Except Gaetz, who is now the moral floor for the GOP.
You are such an idiot. I never said that spending during the Biden presidency was not in any way inflationary. I'm on the record here multiple times about the causes of inflation and yes stimulus contributed to it, but in a secondary or even tertiary way compared to other causes. You are the one who said Biden's spending caused inflation. And I was responding to a poster who said it was "completely false" that Biden's 5.25T in additional spending was in any way inflationary. Of course it was.
Jeremy Hunt worked for Liz Truss. He doesn't have the UK's best interests at heart. This seems like something you convey in private; otherwise, it seems to invite Trump to kick you in the nuts because you've telegraphed you've got no choice but to stand there and take it with a stiff upper lip ...
