I guess it depends on their reaction to any perceived encroachments on their operations. From what I've seen they aren't afraid to get down, so I guess it really boils down to what our armed forces do on and around the border.

I've linked stuff from the Cato Institute a number of times about the fentanyl smuggling. Something over 85% of the people are American citizens using legal entry points. Almost all comes through legal entries in total because most of it comes in such small quantities ( 10 to 20 lbs on the average) that it's easy to conceal. There's nothing really happening at the border that greatly concerns the cartels. There's definitely nothing worth starting a shooting war.
 
Oh, Lord. Doesn't give me the warm fuzzies as someone who is on a plane almost every single week. Reckon I better increase my life insurance policy so when I die in an avoidable aviation accident because Trump and Musk are imbeciles, at least my family will be taken care of.

What you've posted makes absolute sense. I was just thinking in terms of hypothecals in relation to the wild card nature of the Trump administration.

I think we need to give Trump the credit he deserves. A lot people say he’s divisive, but he may be the biggest uniter of any president we’ve ever had. He’s united nearly the entire world … against America.

My assumption is the cartels probably view the facile military theater as a welcome distraction from POE.

I don’t actually think they can use a foreign system to land at a US airport, but would be curious what foreign country he trusts to track his plane.

I'm positive they can't use a foreign system to land at a US airport. How would that even work? There's nothing but the US in radio distance of most of the US, and you can't use Starlink for these purposes (or any satellite provider) because of latency.

A TON of people say whatever Trump wants to hear to get him off their asses and shut him up. I'm sure his pilot is one of those.
