Well, unlike Mike Johnson, Biden knew what he signed in the LNG Executive Order.

One significant difference between Biden and Trump is that Biden a) knows about law; b) cares about law; c) understands how the world works; and d) pays attention to details.

Trump doesn't even understand basic things, like how gravity affects water systems, the difference between northern and southern california, and the 14th Amendment, just to take some of his ignorance from the last week or so. This is a guy who doesn't even know how to pronounce Yosemite.

Read the article I posted from the Guardian. It was very informative on the mindset of greenlanders. Whatever happens, I hope we don't fuck them over and we get what we want and they get what they want.

What Greenlanders want is independence. But there are only 68,000 people there.

Maybe Apex or Huntersville should get full states rights….they have about the same number of people.

I'm not knowledgeable about the amount of drugs coming in from Canada. He obviously has some reason for it so what is the story of fentanyl coming through canada and why does trump think canada isn't doing anything to stop it?

Greenland is in a far better position to negotiate for whatever they want. When PR, DC, apex and huntersville discover the 2nd largest deposits of rare earth minerals in the world they too can be in a position of power. They could ask for $50,000 per resident per year and it wouldn't be but a drop in the bucket for the value of the resources and expanded military possibilities. They nor Denmark have the finances to develop the island.

Seriously, the Biden of the last 3-4 years? You sound like KJP touting Biden's tremendous physical stamina ("none of us can keep up with him") and mental sharpness "behind the scenes."

My take is that Trump has to do something dramatic because he has said our economy is in the dumps (when it is strong in reality), so he can’t just do nothing (as he should).
So he comes up with this dumb Tariff idea and then invents reasons for needing them.

My best guess is that in the end he will do some tariffs that will do minimal harm and then MAGAs will pretend the tariffs saved our economy.

So when Mike Johnson said that Biden didn't know what he had signed, and it turned out that Biden did know, was Mike Johnson lying, or uninformed, or simply not as bright as Joe? Because it is inarguable that Biden never signed an EO that resembled what Mike Johnson attributed to him.

And yes, even in a diminished state, Biden understands law way better than Trump ever did. You might want to sit this one out, since you also don't understand law and probably aren't fit to judge that particular contest.

The NSC, a White House arm, provides national security and foreign policy advice to the president.

Trump, a Republican, is sidelining these nonpolitical subject matter experts on topics that range from counterterrorism to global climate policy at a time when the U.S. is grappling with a disparate set of complicated foreign policy matters, including conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Such structuring could also make new policy experts brought in to the NSC less likely to speak up about policy differences and concerns.

… Some directors have already made decisions to inform detailees they will be sent back to the federal agencies they were on loan from.
