Pence opposes RFK Jr on abortion grounds, but interesting that he is making a public statement like this.

“… A longtime anti-vaxxer with a propensity for far-fetched conspiracy theories, RFK Jr. has insinuated that an attempt to assassinate members of Congress via anthrax-laced mail in 2001 may have been a ‘false flag’ attack orchestrated by ‘someone in our government’ to gin up interest in the government preparing for potential biological weapon threats.

He has claimed that COVID was ‘targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people,’ and that 5G is being used to ‘harvest our data and control our behavior.’ He has suggested that the use of antidepressants might be linked to mass shootings.

Each one of these theories is demonstrably false. The Republican Party has often found itself at war with mainstream science in recent years, but confirming RFK Jr. would be a remarkable anti-science advance. If Republican senators are willing to do so, is there any scientific belief they would place above the wishes of Donald Trump? …”

So far this Administration has been openly hostile to scientific expertise and I expect that will continue unabated regardless of what happens with the RFK nomination, but it is critical to keep this nut job out of government anyway. I find myself hoping the hard core GOP abortion opponents end up killing this nomination.

That's actually a very interesting perspective. Link to page where it came from?

Disaster spreads in Rwanda and Congo, as Rwandan M23 militias seize regions in Congo, and victimization of women and children continues

“… On Tuesday, the rebels still were exchanging gun- and artillery fire with the Congolese army in parts of the city, trapping more than a million civilians inside Goma and threatening to open a bloody new chapter in a decades-old war set off by the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio called Rwandan President Paul Kagame and “urged an immediate ceasefire in the region, and for all parties to respect sovereign territorial integrity,” the State Department said.

Senior U.N. officials said streets in Goma were littered with bodies and hospitals were flooded with hundreds of wounded. Several World Food Program warehouses had been looted, and officials warned of severe shortages if emergency assistance wasn’t restored in the coming hours. Swaths of the city were without power and water, deepening what was already one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises.

Some 1,500 miles away in Kinshasa, Congo’s capital, mobs angered over the city’s fall set fires and besieged the U.S., French, Belgian, Ugandan and other embassies, as well as the headquarters of the U.N. peacekeeping force.

Observers and diplomats fear that the M23’s gains could encourage the rebels and Rwanda’s army to advance on Kinshasa in an echo of the 1990s wars, which sucked in several other Africa countries and led to the deaths of more than five million people.

Rwandan officials have denied that the country has deployed troops inside Congo and say its military is defending Rwanda’s territory and security. …”

She should be. Far from the person I would choose, but there's no reason I've seen not to confirm her.
I take issue with her repeated lies about the 2020 election being stolen and active efforts to help overturn that election result, but given that this is a Trump nominee, I know that if a feature. But I acknowledge that other than that history of spreading disinformation to try to overturn a presidential election, despite my political disagreements with her, she is otherwise qualified for the post.

I think it's Trump's "Celebrity Appresident" pick. How bad does he have to be when his own siblings come out against him, like the family of Paul Gosar did? It could just be more kakistocracy 101. Elections have consequences. Well done, voters.

You just exposed yourself. Remember when those networks, the ones you believe tell you the truth, remember when they told you Donald Trump colluded with Russia, or when they told you Jussie Smollett was the victim, or the Hunter laptop was Russian disinformation, or Nick Sandmann was the aggressor, or border agents were whipping migrants, or when Alejandro Mayorkas told you the border was secure? Do you remember when CNN and MSNBC lied to you all those times? And now they are still the sources you will believe? Bo, come on now. Time to wake up.
Tell me that there isn't a Trump supporter in lecturing everyone about waking up when it comes to being lied to.

Remember that time Trump lied to you 30,573 times (that's just from his first term) and took home lie of the year honors year after year? Time to wake up you say?

In the 2-3 minutes of the hearing I heard on way back from working out, RFK seemed to be struggling/not used to being directly questioned.

Gently Pressed in friendly questioning to define what he meant by returning to what he calls the “gold standard” he really struggled and basically claimed that the NIH currently doesn’t require that research results be replicable, which is nonsense. He then tried to claim as an example that amyloid plaques don’t cause Alzheimer’s (and NIH wasted 20 years of research on that because they didn’t require the original studies be replicated) — which is not my understanding of the current science. The drug targeting amyloid plaques didn’t work, and the results suggest a more complex relationship between the plaques and Alzheimer’s, but that is not the same thing as Kennedy’s claim that the NIH focused on the wrong thing for two decades.

He also claimed that the peer reviews of peer review studies should be published with the study, which is a weird suggestion if you’ve ever been involved in science peer reviewed articles. A lot of peer review comments impact edits (and additional research to close a gap) in the final product; they are not generally publication-ready critiques (or grandstanding, depending on your POV).

I dunno, maybe he had some great answers today, too. I only heard that small bit …

Nicole Sheridan trying to act like a tough mafiosa is the most hilarious thing ever. Nobody is scared of Queen AuDig. She has no pull, and nobody gives a fuck what she has to say about anything.

(Tillis was a friendly questioner who complained about the “shirts and skins” approach and that some people would keep asking heard questions even after you answer several correctly until you mess up)

Bernie opened up friendly but then was Bernie/Doubting Thomas

That source has had an excellent reputation for a long time. You offer none. I've found numerous other sources that back up the one I posted. I'll just take it as you having nothing but a loud mouth and no facts.
Since you are so concerned about kids, how about reposting any of your previous posts regarding the 300,000+ missing migrant children the Biden Administration has lost. Repost your concerns about where they are and whether or not they are being exploited or sex trafficked. If you can't provide any previous post, then admit that you only care about migrant children when it fits your political agenda even if it requires being a hypocrite to do so.
And YET another ass hat who had no interest in dealing with reality and facts. I don't know why anyone continues to engage with these folks. Super Ignore was invented for folks like these.
