No. There are no two ways to see any of it.

- Documented Alcoholism refers to him admitting that he's had problems with alcohol abuse.
In August 2021, Pete Hegseth said on Will Cain’s podcast that slowly, surely, “by the grace of God,” he had been able to undo a pattern of alcohol abuse that had dogged him since he returned from military combat in Iraq in 2006
I'm not going to list all the examples. There are many. And you know full well that he has an admitted documented history of it.

- Sexual Assault refers to the incident in which he restrained a woman from leaving a motel room and them sexually assaulted her. There were no formal charges because he entered into a settlement agreement with his accuser.

- Misogyny refers to the numerous statements made throughout the years about women serving in combat roles. It has nothing to do with lowering standards for them. He specifically stated that women should NOT serve in combat roles.

- Christian Nationalism refers to the Christian battle cry he has on his arm. A phrase championed by the proud boys and extremists who participated in J6.

So we can continue to engage in this inane bullshittery or you can answer my question. Would you consider someone with a documented history of alcohol abuse, sexual assault, misogyny, and Christian Nationalism mentally stable?
I'm not going to split hairs about alcohol abuse vs alcohol addiction and I don't know the context behind his women in battle view, but I don't see it as automatic misogyny. If he raped that woman, that would clearly disqualify him though, as I said above, he's unqualified if none of the allegations are true.

To be fair, he's only not as bad as he's been portrayed by Democrats if you ignore his drinking problems, sexual abuse, and Christo-nationalism.
Let’s not forget his rank inexperience at leading large organization, nor his documented financial mismanagement of those small to mid sized organizations.

i mean, ffs dude. have you read ANYTHING about the guy?

Clearly not. His sole purpose here is to take a contrarian view on everything. Facts be damned.

US designates extreme right-wing 'Terrorgram' network as terrorist group

“WASHINGTON, Jan 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. on Monday imposed sanctions on an extreme right-wing online network, designating the "Terrorgram" collective a terrorist group and accusing it of promoting violent white supremacy.

The U.S. State Department said in a statement that it had designated the group, which primarily operates on the Telegram social media site, and three of its leaders as Specially Designated Global Terrorists.

The State Department said the group has motivated and facilitated attacks and attempted attacks by users, including a 2022 shooting outside an LGBTQ bar in Slovakia, a planned attack in 2024 on energy facilities in New Jersey and an August knife attack at a mosque in Turkey.

… The action freezes any of the group's U.S. assets and bars Americans from dealing with it.
The leaders targeted on Monday with sanctions were based in Brazil, Croatia and South Africa, according to the statement. …”

I put this here because I will be interested to see if the Trump Administration rescinds it (due to potential impact on white supremacist groups in the United States).

4. We already know what Trump did on immigration. Jack shit until the pandemic. Most of the shit he talks about has already been found to be illegal by federal courts, including the Supreme Court on occasion (though pre-ACB).
That's not true.

He did promulgate a pattern of forcibly separating children from their families, absent due process considerations and with virtually no thought given to the potential for reuniting those so separated, with the intent of having them relinquish certain rights, such that it was found to shock the conscience of the court.

So I mean, he has that going for him.

You are correct. Thanks for the amendment.

After Pete’s calm, collected and passionate testimony today he will be confirmed as our next Secretary of Defense. He was a great lead off batter for the Trump administration. Senator Ernst just announced she would be voting for Pete.

Disagree he’s unqualified for the job. It’s not like Pete will not be without a team to run the Department. He’s there as a change agent to instill a new culture in the Pentagon.

Next batter up....

BlueSky has biased, agenda-motivated posters just like Twitter. It's rarely a coincidence when video/audio is cropped to small clips.

I do not disagree and my frustration with BSKY and Twitter right now is it can be like toggling between MSNBC social and Fox (or OAN or Telegram) social.

Wait. Can you think of any organization with a $900 billion annual budget (or even a $9 billion annual budget or even a $9 million annual budget) who would think it is OK to hire a CEO without experience leading an organization because he will have other people to help him? Would it be OK to hire a basketball or football coach who had never coached the sport because he had capable assistants?
