“… The full extent of the charges being prepared against Comey is unclear, but the sources believe that at least one element of the indictment—if it goes forward--will accuse him of lying to Congress during his testimony on September 30, 2020 about whether he authorized a leak of information. The five year statute of limitations on that charge would lapse on Tuesday.“

Comey LITERALLY secured the election win for Trump in 2016. What the actual fuck.

“… A description of the documents gathered in the Aug. 22 search suggested they included materials that referenced weapons of mass destruction, the U.S. mission to the United Nations and records related to the U.S. government’s strategic communications.

The inventory by an FBI agent doesn’t specify the number of suspected classified documents. But it lists several collections or folders that were labeled “confidential” and some pages marked “secret.” The heading on at least one set marked “confidential” was redacted from the inventory, filed earlier this month in federal court in Washington.

FBI agents also carried out a search warrant the same morning at Bolton’s Bethesda, Maryland, home. The inventory from that search contained no outward indication that classified information was located. However, in both instances, agents reported seizing computers and other electronic devices whose contents were not detailed.

Both search warrant applications indicated FBI agents were seeking evidence related to three felony offenses, including gathering, transmitting or losing national defense information in violation of the Espionage Act and retaining classified information without permission.…”

“… Court filings indicate that investigators determined that Bolton’s AOL email account was hacked by a foreign entity, although details of the alleged hack and how the U.S. became aware of it remain unclear.

… An attorney for Bolton, Abbe Lowell, said the records were cleared for Bolton’s use years ago and many of them were more than two decades old.

“These materials, many of which are documents that had been previously approved as part of a pre-publication review for Amb. Bolton’s book, were reviewed and closed years ago,” Lowell said in a statement.…”

Trump is saying stuff even Nixon would dare not publicly voice, suchg as the tweet to Bondi
Because under Nixon there were still guardrails to stop him - there were still checks and balances, still some Republicans willing to stand up to the president, still a news media that wasn't willing to be intimidated into silence or complicity, and so on. Those things are all gone now, and so Trump can pretty much say and do what he wants. The last real opposition to him is in the lower federal courts, and they keep getting overturned by the Supremes in most cases, so even there the opposition is just delaying the inevitable. So Trump can openly call for Bondi to go after his enemies and critics like a mob boss or dictator would, and there's no longer any real punishment or consequences for him, unlike Nixon.

“… After Trump took office, Martin was initially set to be the top US attorney in Washington, but after failing to secure confirmation because the Senate torpedoed his nomination, he was instead given multiple roles inside the Justice Department. He now serves as the director of the department’s “Weaponization Working Group.”

The original September 15 letter from Martin, disclosed by Jones on social media, was met with derision from the families and the FBI agent.

… Since he joined the Justice Department early in Trump’s second turn, Martin has sent several similar letters threatening legal action against the president’s perceived enemies or organizations that run counter to his agenda – many of which have been leaked to the public….”

I think you put your finger squarely on why St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago, the first of his name, is going so hard after Comey. St. Donald needs to discredit Comey completely in order to preemptively undermine Comey in case Comey decides to talk about the "what and why" of his actions in the weeks preceding the 2016 election.

JFC 🙄

He's wholly unqualified for ANY office.

No prior or subsequent president would do that to him.

He's such a uniquely classless, punk-ass piece of shit.

Never forget: Ram and Calla LOVE them some Trump.
On January 6th and 7th, 2021, Greg Steube voted against certifying Joe Biden as POTUS.

Talk about a treasonous fuck.
This is what happens when inmates are allowed to run the asylum. My gosh will we even survive three more years of this shitshow?

“A senior Justice Department official has instructed more than a half dozen U.S. attorney’s offices to draft plans to investigate a group funded by George Soros, the billionaire Democratic donor whom President Trump has demanded be thrown in jail.

The official’s directive, a copy of which was viewed by The New York Times, goes as far as to list possible charges prosecutors could file, ranging from arson to material support of terrorism. The memo suggests department leaders are following orders from the president that specific people or groups be subject to criminal investigation — a major break from decades of past practice meant to insulate the Justice Department from political interference.

… On Monday, a lawyer in the office of the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, issued the directive to U.S. attorney’s offices in California, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Detroit and Maryland, among others.

The lawyer, Aakash Singh, who is responsible for communicating with federal prosecutors around the country, suggested a wide range of charges for prosecutors to consider against the Open Society Foundations. Possible charges included racketeering, arson, wire fraud and material support for terrorism, according to a copy of the directive….”
