Except that the reason for the investigation is that Bolton is a Trump critic.

The chilling effect is not worth it. Not even remotely.

The First Amendment means nothing to these people. Remember that.

If the paralegal was on her way to work, then all of her expression is protected by the First Amendment and firing her is absolutely 100% illegal.

I remember those folks. I took them as seriously as those who took Maryanne Williamson seriously, or who thought voting third party in 2016 was some sort of moral high ground. Tulsi has been a stooge for a long, long time.

Nope. Hates Trump. Was all in on Biden in 2020 (including primaries) and Kamala in 2024. Just had a weird thing for Tulsi.

We do joke about him being a Russian asset, however.

He prefers the Dems who he feels don’t necessarily toe the party line; who he feels have “fresh” ideas. He was all in on Biden in 2020 because he thought Biden had the best chance of beating Trump (perfectly sound and respectable position), but he probably preferred Bernie or Tulsi as candidates. He loves him some Zohran Mamdani and wishes he could run for president (which he can’t do because he was not born in the US).

He also tends to buy into a lot of the right wing talking points that are aimed at dividing the Democratic Party.
