Your last sentence is the crux of the republican party now. Power at all cost. They keep their base hopped up on fear and anger while they continue to funnel more money to the rich and corporations, as well as a little taste for themselves.

As long as they continue to have their state media in place, there will be no reaching a horrifically large portion of our fellow citizens. They'll gladly burn the country to the ground to keep it out of the hands of "the others".
 
I dunno, Markwayne seems more plumber than senator. Wouldn’t be surprised if he is the only senator without a bachelor’s degree
 
I don’t understand why we haven’t yet seen the incontrovertible proof Tulsi was talking about. Seems like they’d want to get that out there as soon as possible, doesn’t it? Because if it turns out it doesn’t actually exist, Lindsey and all these other sycophants are going to have to do YET ANOTHER pirouette. Surely they’ll get dizzy at some point?

Lady G and the other Trumplicans will just move onto another lie…….maybe with more focus on Dr. Fauci……….or, California will have more fires……..or, the Democratic mayoral candidate in New York will say something leftist and that’ll send MAGA into a renewed tizzy.

This country has been a laughing stock since Reagan's second term. Did you see him on the MLB All Star game telecast in 1988? Oof! I was living in Europe at the time, watching that game with the team I was coaching at the time (A Club team in Zürich, yes, baseball in Switzerland). The players and other coaches were looking at me like: "Scheisse Coach... is THAT your President?" "Hahahaha"

Trust me, we've been a laughing stock for a long, long time. Today? Those guys are just shaking their heads feeling sorry for me now... they realize it's no laughing matter anymore...

This is false. Maybe you mean that we have been a laughing stock before. But Obama was not regarded in Europe as a laughing stock. To the contrary, he drew enormous crowds (tens of thousands IIRC, maybe more) even before he was president. They gave him the Nobel (I think everyone can admit that he did not earn it -- it was more a type of lobbying and/or hopium).

We've been a laughing stock when our presidents talk as if they have a sub-100 IQ. Clinton and Obama were the leaders of the free world. Biden sounded the alarm on Russia and Ukraine and pulled NATO and Europe together.
