"Voluntary," as in if you "voluntarily" accuse your former co-workers of illegal acts then you will be a witness in the coming "Darkness at Noon" trials rather than a defendant? Apparently this administration thinks that those who served in previous administrations are as stupid as those serving in the current administration.
 
Trump fires NSF's governing board for essentially governing Trump's handpicked NSF officers...and in anticipation of a report filed to Congress.

Since the National Science Board was established ca. 1950 as an independent oversight board by an Act of Congress, this is yet another unconstitutional and illegal act by Trump.

The NSF is responsible for developing the internet, Doppler radar, MRI, laser surgery, DNA analysis, search engines, AI, semiconductors, smartphones, CROSPR gene editing, 3-D bioprinting, nanotechnology, hydrogels, fuel cells, computer graphics, lithium-ion batteries, LASIK eye surgery, vaccines, carbon cycle science, fusion energy, smart materials, cloud computing, fiber optics, STEM education, tissue engineering, detection of the Higgs boson, atomic clocks, advanced polymers, and on and on...

To be fair, I’ve learned over the past few years that most Americans have no idea wtf any of our federal agencies actually do, nor do they have any idea how those various agencies impact their daily lives.

Hence we have tens of millions of people who still think DOGE was great and/or didn’t cut enough, and that the CDC and NSF and EPA and NOAA and other scientific bodies are just bullshit nonsense that can be easily farmed out to the private sector.

Pretty sure it's all part of the Project 2025 script. And I agree that the midterms will be America's last chance—which is precisely why I fully expect this administration to try to cancel or steal this election, by any means necessary.
