This is how they square the circle. MAGA is generally opposed to foreign wars. No issue bombing Iran or blowing up speedboats in the Gulf of Mexico, but no support for our traditional allies like Ukraine.

MAGA is very excited, though, about waging war on blue Americans.

Cherry on top, Trump famously dodged the Vietnam draft (as did many Americans who could, though when it was Clinton the GOP found it disqualifying and for Trump it is endearing) and just yesterday claimed America quit fighting to win after WWII to justify changing DoD back to Department of War, but here he is using a Vietnam meme to threaten Americans in a U.S. city.

And frankly, I think that tweet (or whatever it’s called) would be unacceptable if it were directed at a foreign adversary. There is no virtue in publicly relishing in going to war. But it is much more reprehensible when it is directed at one of our own cities.
 
Yet you know our resident board Trumpers and bosiders (aka hidden Trumpers) are privately chuckling and relishing at his "Chipocalypse Now" tweet. Most of them live for shit like that. And many Trumpers really do now see Democrats as more of an enemy than any foreign nation or power. Democrats and liberals are not fellow citizens who happen to disagree with them anymore, thanks to decades of right-wing media they now see them as a mortal threat to their "way of life."
