A DOGE architect leaves the movement after Musk feuds with Trump

“What’s not okay is his baseless personal attacks against President Trump,” James Fishback told POLITICO.

"... “The truth is that Elon set expectations that he relayed to the president, me, and the country that he did not come close to fulfilling. That’s disappointing, but okay,” Fishback said. “What’s not okay is his baseless personal attacks against President Trump.”

Fishback, the founder of a self-styled “free thinking” investment firm, gained prominence in conservative circles when he proposed the idea of distributing $5,000 stimulus payments to American taxpayers, funded by a share of DOGE’s projected government savings.

Though Fishback never formally joined DOGE, his “DOGE checks” generated support from Musk on X and prompted Trump to express interest in a “DOGE dividend.”

Fishback launched his anti-woke investment fund at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in December. ..."

But can he stomach selling it for a deep loss just to hammer Musk on the resell value? My guess is no — he will probably auction to a fanboy for a profit.
I suspect Trump has not driven any car in decades including this Tesla

You'd think I'd have sympathy for Elon just because he's fighting with an all time bad guy, but idk. He legit burned his bridges. I can't fault Trump for not wanting to repair ties. I mean, some of the shit he said would end a marriage.

And Trump doesn't want to say it, but I think we all know that Elon has a drug problem.

That’s why I think there’s some credence to “Trump is pulling his punches “ because otherwise he’d go hard at the drugs thing.

He said as much when he did the Tesla promo at the WH. I believe he said he is not “allowed” to drive and had not driven for decades.

fuckfests.
In their own way, maybe? I'm reminded of something a female political commentator said about Beto: she imagines guys like Bernie just pounding away but Beto makes your calves camp. I'm guessing there are not a lot of calf camps at CPAC. For one thing, conservatives don't understand lube. I remember reading some study about different sex habits between liberals and conservatives, and something like 85% of all lube was purchased by liberals. Result seemed kind of like bullshit but I accepted it because it confirmed by preconceptions and I don't care enough about lube purchases to be objective . . .

Those are much worse numbers for Trump than it first appears.

1) 60% responded either "neither" or "Musk".
2) over 15% of republicans picked "Musk" over "Trump" (although it is unclear how the category "neither" fits into the party aligned equation.
3) The independent split on this issue may have the biggest ripple effects should the divide continue.
Eh, I think you're reading too much into this. Musk is just going to end up roadkill under Trump's tires.

I don't. Elon Musk just spent 6 months downloading shit about everyone in the country, runs one of the most powerful propaganda machines in Twitter, has a sizeable foot in iterative AI, and Starlink owns 62% of all satellites currently in orbit. People discount how dangerous he is at their own peril.
