When I look at this guy, three words pop into mind. Banality of evil.

Not saying he's Eichmann, just that he gives off this workmanlike vibe -- like he schlumps every morning to the office, slashes some people's health insurance, eats his roast beef sandwich for lunch, goes to some meetings with Russian oligarchs and then back home for meatloaf and potatoes.

Smaller Federal Government through massive DOGE cuts;
This includes substantially reduced federal workforce due to imposition of mandatory 5 day in person workforce attendance;
Reduced spending;
Lower energy costs due to greater energy production;
TARGETED tariffs to booster American manufacturing; leads to
Lower interest rates.

That’s a start. Sit back a watch it happen.
Interest rates rose the day after the election as the bond market reacted to Trump’s stated policies.
So, 0 for 1 so far.

“… The 22-page police report was released in response to a public records request and offers the first detailed account of what the woman alleged to have transpired — one that is at odds with Hegseth’s version of events. The report cited police interviews with the alleged victim, a nurse who treated her, a hotel staffer, another woman at the event and Hegseth.

… A spokeswoman for the Trump transition said early Thursday that the “report corroborates what Mr. Hegseth’s attorneys have said all along: the incident was fully investigated and no charges were filed because police found the allegations to be false.”

The report does not say that police found the allegations were false. Police recommended the case report be forwarded to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office for review.

Investigators were first alerted to the alleged assault, the report said, by a nurse who called them after a patient requested a sexual assault exam. The patient told medical personnel she believed she was assaulted five days earlier but couldn’t remember much about what had happened. She reported something may have been slipped into her drink before ending up in the hotel room where she said the assault occurred. …”

(Cont’d)

“…Hegseth told investigators that the sexual encounter that followed was consensual, adding that he explicitly asked more than once if she was comfortable. Hegseth said in the morning the woman “showed early signs of regret,” and he assured her that he wouldn’t tell anyone about the encounter.

Hegseth’s attorney said a payment was made to the woman as part of a confidential settlement a few years after the police investigation because Hegseth was concerned that she was prepared to file a lawsuit that he feared could have resulted in him being fired from Fox News, where he was a popular host. The attorney would not reveal the amount of the payment. …”

Like your beloved Pres Biden. What’s your story? My guess you’re either bitter divorced guy or never married guy that’s bitter women don’t like him. I’’\ll
DM you photos of my family if you need further proof of my family.
Man, you are one petty pathetic little pissant arent you? I don't think I've seen anyone quite so childish in a very long time.

That’s surprising. I figured budding sexual predator was the line on his resume that got him hired on Fox News in the first place.

So what if Hegseth is a sexually assaulting misogynistic white supremacist ?

That has nothing to do with his ability to lead the Department of Defense.

The obvious efficiency of having two heads of a department that doesn’t exist, plus a rabble-rousing “subcommittee chair”(?) and no statutory authority to do anything is a really encouraging start for a proposed radical restructuring of the Federal government.
Give him a break. He’s new at this.

Small government at work.

Good. Now release that damn report anyway. You can bet that it is incredibly damning. People like Gaetz and Trump do not admit they are wrong, so for “him” to submit “his” withdrawal of his nomination for AG, it must be pretty damn bad. Maybe they found out he was paying underage boys for sex, too. That’s about the only thing that seems to be disqualifying in the GOP anymore – publicly, at least.

I was so looking forward to the confirmation questioning so the country could see that its creep President elect had nominated another creep.

They don't care as long as they get the fascist country they want for straight white Christian nationalists.

Lol

Since he resigned from Congress, at least this Congress, can he return to Congress when the new House is seated in January? If not, what are his career choices - Fox News host?
