As we are in week three of a postal strike / lockout here in privatized mail Canada, not sure your average rural American will handle their Christmas stuff going undelivered, let alone pay checks etc etc. Tell you who is not going to bother opening a distribution hub and armpit lick Idaho, Trump's best friend Bezos.

But yeah privatize away.
Don’t forget the people who get prescription medicine delivered via the US Mail. Likely elderly, rural, and white…..you know, Trump voters.

I think it would be a lot more fun for Biden to have Trump thrown in jail on January 1. He'll still be president and Trump won't have immunity because he's not sworn in. Sure, nothing will stick but it would be a nice eff you on the way out. Be a good test of SCOTUS's decision concerning presidential immunity for things done while in office.

"I won the biggest mandate in 129 years." LOL. Where in the hell does he get random numbers like this? And there is zero historical truth to his claim. Zero. Not that his supporters will care of course, they're still calling his victory a "landslide" when he didn't even get over half the popular vote. We're truly living in fact-free times.

The great and unforgettable landslide election of 1895 will go down in alternate fact history with the Bowling Green Massacre, I guess.

Of all the postings, Walker to the Bahamas is the most benign. Ambassador to Bahamas is a nothing job and its not the first time the US sends someone wholly unqualified to be ambassador. This is a head fake.

Keep the eyes on the prize.

No shock, but he's making shit up. I assume "129 years" is specific enough to make it seem true. And of course his popular vote margin is going to be less than Hillary's was in 2016.

Trump’s transition is happening over private emails. Federal officials are nervous.

Agencies are weighing in-person requirement for sensitive data.

"... The private emails have agency employees considering insisting on in-person meetings and document exchanges that they otherwise would have conducted electronically, according to two federal officials granted anonymity to discuss a sensitive situation. Their anxiety is particularly high in light of recent hacking attempts from China and Iran that targeted Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance and other top officials.

... Trump — who attacked his then-opponent Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server for official business during his first presidential run — is overseeing a fully privatized transition that communicates from an array of @transition47.com, @trumpvancetransition.com and @djtfp24.com accounts rather than anything ending in .gov, and uses private servers, laptops and cell phones instead of government-issued devices.

This break with tradition stems from the Trump team forgoing federal funding and the ethics and transparency requirements that come with it.

While it’s unclear how the decision is impacting a transition that is already behind, with fewer than five weeks remaining until Inauguration Day, one person familiar with the collaboration between the Biden administration and the Trump transition team, granted anonymity to discuss sensitive discussions, said it is further hampering the process. ..."

LOL. Putin isn't going to be satisfied with treating Trump like an equal, because he almost certainly sees him as a useful stooge, not an equal, and I doubt that he fears Trump at all. Putin has been pushing to enlarge Russia's sphere of influence for years, mainly by rebuilding the old Soviet Empire as much as possible (hence the attack on Ukraine), and by undermining Western democracies via internet troll farms and playing up the political, cultural, and ethnic divisions within various nations that are major rivals of the Russians. And while his success in reassembling the old Soviet Union has been mixed at best thus far, he's been far more successful in the second goal, imo. But I certainly doubt he's going to treat Trump as anything other than the easily manipulated clown and stooge he no doubt privately thinks he is.
