That’s generous. Rather than months I’d go with 10.5 Scaramucci’s.
I don't know. From my understanding, Wiles has a decades long history of commitment to the political grind. She likely views herself as above the bullshit, thus won't get flustered and impulsive like all the hangers-on. I predict she can manipulate ttump as she sees fit. The risk is a blatant shivving from Santa Monica Goebbels, which IS going to happen; it'll just be a matter of whether Wiles can outmaneuver him, or cares to.

This will probably sadden a lot of folks on the WSJ editorial board.

I guess she sees it differently. Also, from the same article:

“…
It is unclear if Haley was angling for a position within the second Trump administration. But two people familiar with the deliberations told POLITICO that Pompeo, who campaigned for Trump, was making a concerted effort to be named to the position of defense secretary. Both were granted anonymity to discuss the sensitive deliberations.

The two people added that Pompeo’s bid to become the nation’s defense chief ran into heated opposition from close allies of the former president, including his son, Donald Trump Jr., and far-right commentator and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Trump’s post came a half hour after POLITICO asked the transition team to comment on a story being prepared about Pompeo’s bid being blocked by Trump Jr. and Carlson.

“There is a desire to not have people with presidential ambitions” use Trump cabinet posts as a launch pad, said one of the two people, a former senior Trump administration official. “He got burned by Mike previously, and by Haley, and his foreign policy views [MY READ - UKRAINE] are not aligned with the president.” …”

The USA’s United Nations Ambassadorship comes with quite the plum in terms of benefits - a full-floor, 5+ bedroom apartment on the 37th floor of 50 United Nations Plaza (East 47th Street).

I wonder how those Jill Stein/ pro Palestinian voters in Michigan are feeling knowing that they helped pave the way for Stefanik to be in the United Nations promoting our Middle East foreign policy positions ?

One thing is for certain.....neither Cuba nor China can expect any favors from Rubio. He despises commies....(and rightly so).
It's gonna be funny watching Little Marco attempt to "stand up to" commies. I'm here for it. 🍿

You know, the best part of all of this is—assuming the House goes R as well—maga is now 100% responsible for how the next 4 years goes. No obstacles. No excuses. When the whole thing fails spectacularly, the only fingerpointing will be at themselves. Then, perhaps, this dumb social experiment can finally end.

GOP just handed Dems a gift. Remains to be seen if they can capitalize, but they created a Senate opening in 2026. 2026 is likely to be blue wave election, and it might be the waviest election since the New Deal if the economy does what we think it will. Yes, it's Florida, but you can't win a seat that's not open. And if the "it's the economy" diagnosis is correct, the coming inflation could and should swing Florida by a lot.

And who knows who will be appointed, but if there's anyone I would want to running against for a Senate seat in 2026, it would be Lara Trump.
