Assuming they got the bombs together, and remember they are LOW explosive in a lightweight casing that has almost no fragmentation effect and not much better containment that the newspaper firecrackers used to be wrapped in so the explosion can build up power, what leads you to think that they could either plant them or detonate them. These guys are clowns. Remember that the Boston Marathon bombing was so terribly effective because they were contained in heavy pressure cookers where the top lugged on . That meant a greater explosion and fast moving heavy shrapnel, something that lightweight PVC and the glued on ends won't do.

Now, go study some basic physics and use some common sense before you accuse one of us of not having a clue. You're right about my posting history. How often has it been me that was clueless.

Correct. A black powder explosive in a pvc pipe would barely make a dent in the side of a wooden residential structure. It would not collapse it or even cause serious injury to people inside the home most likely. Such a device would have zero impact (beyond fear and cosmetics) on a concrete reinforced steel structure.

Yeah. Black powder is more of a push than a punch. The early factories used sturdy framing well attached with siding and roofs lightly attached. When they'd blow up, it would blow off the siding and relieve the pressure. Then they'd pick it up and nail it back on. Course, even high explosive don't do much without some way to contain or channel the effect.

I honestly can't tell sometimes if certain posters are really as dumb as they act... or if they are truly just trolling. You know how your momma used to tell you that if you kept making that face, some day it was gonna stick? Well if you keep pretending to be that dumb, at some point you are what you pretend to be...

If some group of people takes a bunch of bomb making materials out into the desert with a plan to use them, of course the FBI should pick them up and deal with them. That's their job. But what they should not do is hold a press conference patting themselves on the back for it...

It's their job to protect Americans, not hold pep rallies patting themselves on their backs. And while ordinarily it would just be poor form, in this case it's just hilarious... because they are taking a curtain call for stopping the Barney Fife of terrorist plots.

The FBI likely was instigating the whole “plot.” The Justice Department is under orders from the President to capture Antifa. Since that is not a real criminal organization, the FBI has to create one.

They sure as heck aren’t going to downplay the arrest when they likely spent months convincing rubes to fall into their spider trap.

True. Along those same lines, I don't see any reason to arrest the J6 pipe bomber. He clearly hasn't honed his bomb making skills to the point he's dangerous. The FBI should just "keep an eye on him" until he's a viable threat, right?

What the actual heck are you smoking? Nobody said do not arrest the morons. NOT ONE PERSON. Just don't run victory laps afterward like you've won the Daytona 500. This is like LeBron holding a press conference that he took down a middle school basketball team last night and made them his biatch.

Ok, so we should wait until they (Turtles) plant the bombs before we do anything? Is planting non-functional bombs (J6) less dangerous than weak bombs (turtles) in your world? Or do we wait until they make dangerous bombs AND plant them before we do anything?

What if they continue to improve their bombs and come up with really strong ones AND they're testing them in the desert? Do we arrest them then or wait until they plant them?

Do you have an explanatory chart of some kind I can forward to Kash? 😂

I will admit my reaction to information coming from the Trump admin is going to be different and will face more skepticism from me than info coming from any other administration.

I’d be a fool not to.

However, if these dolts did what the FBI said they did, I am fine with them being arrested and prosecuted. But that doesn’t mean I can’t laugh at the island of misfit losers, which includes these idiots and also Kash Patel.

If they have done something to rise to the level of being arrested, arrest them. If not, don't. I would hope our FBI has not been downgraded by the current admin to a point where they are no longer capable of figuring that out. Either way, don't run a victory lap for scoring 400 on the SATs. It's not really that hard to understand.
 
Here would be my Road to Hana recommendations.

1. Do it first day. There is no way i would want the time stress of having to get back to the ship looming over me. Any accident could stop traffic for a couple hours.

2. Hire a driver. We have done it on our own in a convertible and with our families where we hired it out. Going with a driver was vastly better. There was no stress about the actual driving plus they have their own little kickback systems where they can park at various spots and let you out for falls, sights, pictures. You can't park yourself in many oft those places.
