TV Streaming series to talk about.

Been watching a series called “Bookish” on PBS and although it’s makes English a foreign language the closed caption helped. It’s a detective series post WW2 but it’s been really interesting and somewhat current.

I love the Pitt. Season two has started.

I was never really into the medical dramas, but this is good.

My daughter is a nurse and she says they are very accurate. I've also read that the producers want to be a accurate as possible.

Yes, a variety of people (many in the medical profession) have noted that The Pitt has been really the first truthful depiction of what an emergency room in America is really like. When you move out and up a level, it is also realistic about the problems with American medicine and all the related social disparities that are bound up in this. I was frustrated though that it won Best Drama over Severance, which I think is a far more sophisticated, philosophical and original creation for television.

I was doubting why we needed a season 2 of The Pitt, but so far I like it.

If they can maintain this level of entertainment and writing, I hope we get a few more seasons.

I like the realism and the realism in regard to our broken medical system. This is the only medium to reach some who don't think about the broken system and the need for change and reform.
 
I watched rhe second season of Landman. Pretty boring until the last two episodes. Seems to be a theme with Taylor Sheridan's shows.

I could have dealt with a little less realism and accuracy during the childbirth scene.
 
I’m currently looping back and watching Mad Men which is available on HBO, I didn’t watch when it was current, but have heard people mention it positively over the years,

Did HBO fix their issues with this? The rollout was awful and it had episodes out of order and scenes with prop guys in the shots, etc. I want to restart it but not until it’s confirmed they got their act together.

I’ve got Mad Men at #2 behind Sopranos. I love The Wire and it’s more important sociopolitically, but it’s just not quite on that level for me.

I’m halfway through season two and haven’t encountered any of those issues thus far.
