I'm really not. I thought Roy knew what he was doing when he forced Hubert on us and I fully believed we would be good for years with Hubert as HC.
I’ve lived long enough to know that almost none of us are as smart as we think we are. I don’t agree with hardly anything you say, but I’m glad you are on the board.

24 years working in almost every type of business possible but enjoyed manufacturing ops way more than office centric environments. about to hang it up.
So, you are NOT an efficiency expert……especially when it comes to government.

I have a lot of concern about everything he is doing, but more so about the way he is doing it. As an efficiency expert, the way he is going about this is nothing more than publicity stunts because lawsuits will force much to be redone. There is nothing efficient about what he is doing which was part of the goal in the first place. This is all for show for trump and elon's egos. I'm happy the size of g'ment is going to shrink substantially and dei is betting rooted out, but its going to take longer this way.
Completely agree.

I'm ok with efficiencies, but removing everyone and starting over isn't efficient.

What type of manufacturing operations?

I was certified lean six sigma, but I've not been in that area of manufacturing for a while. One thing I know about efficiencies is that you need to really understand the process before you can make it more efficient.

Yeah DOGE is just cutting for the sake of cutting. Hard to believe they’ve put any thought into the ramifications of what they are cutting.

It will be interesting to see if Trump pushes back. He has the political capital and his whole brand so far this term has been cutting federal spending. That $4 Trillion debt ceiling number is going to hurt him politically if the budget keeps going up.

The Shutdown Fight That Could Play Right Into Trump’s Hands

There isn’t one neat trick to defeating Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s war on the federal government.

This is my fear as progressives and some Democratic lawmakers push a shutdown confrontation… they will lose when they are forced to take bigger concessions to reopen the government to fight the DOGE dismantling…

“…
if we know anything about Trump’s newly confirmed OMB director, Russ Vought, it’s that he has little regard for the niceties of bureaucratic precedent. It’s not hard to imagine him working with Trump and even Musk to designate a much broader swath of favored agencies to continue operating while other, disfavored corners of government are shut down and their workers sent home.

A DOGE shutdown, in other words, could hand carte blanche to Musk, Vought & Co. to remake the federal government in the very same ways that Democrats want to fight against. In some ways, it could be even easier, in fact — a veritable dream for them.

And then there’s the politics. On the Republican side, let’s just say there isn’t very strong evidence that the MAGA wing of the party really thinks the GOP would pay much of a political price for a shutdown. Trump, after all, led the charge for the longest government shutdown in history in late 2018. His polling took a temporary hit, but it quickly recovered.

It’s Democrats who would face real political complications in embracing a shutdown fight. And there are many. …”
