“Gruber said that “the stupidity of the American voter” made it important for him and Democrats to hide Obamacare’s true costs from the public. “That was really, really critical for the thing to pass,” said Gruber. “But I’d rather have this law than not.” In other words, the ends—imposing Obamacare upon the public—justified the means.”Thank you for bringing up that Pelosi statement.
She said we are going to have to pass the bill so YOU ( the audience she was speaking to ) can find out what's in it which will dispel the misinformation being spread by republicans about what is in the ACA.
"You've heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don't know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention–it's about diet, not diabetes. It's going to be very, very exciting.
But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy."
Trump has done a lot worse than this that should get him removed. In a rational, moral world, comments like this by a president would result in immediate and automatic removal from office.
Trump is cruel and an idiot, so this is what you get.You know, Donald, we have Republicans here in California. In fact, we have more Republicans in California than half of the states you won, combined.
The Californians want the SALT. We have a silly passive income workaround right now for business owners. But with the high property tax and state income tax, the SALT cap hits pretty hard out here - especially given that $200k is middle class.I'd rather have the personal exemptions back. Losing that sent our taxes soaring.
I wonder if the Republicans from Cali will hold out-I guess notThe Californians want the SALT. We have a silly passive income workaround right now for business owners.
