I think the GOP has already signaled they will ignore the parliamentarian if it suits them, but we’ll see.

Bombing Iran has taken the focus on this horrible bill that will crush our R&D, ramp up deficit spending, and together with tariffs and an expected upsurge in oil futures will hurl us toward Stagflation, 70s style.

This would surprise me. It sets up the 50% vote in the senate. The 60% vote in the senate has saved the country from a lot of whiplash (and also prevented a lot of legislation I’d like). The Ra have been staunch supporters of the Byrd rule to date. Yes I know that means nothing.

“… we have made PEACE abroad …” rather vastly overstates things.

Medicaid cuts?! Nothing to see here ... Get over it y'all!

"Well, we are all going to to die." -Joni Ernst (R-IA).
Senator Thom is sweating bullets as he is entering his re-election as he pleads for no cuts to Medicaid.

When good Christian Thom kneels before his bed at night, I'm guessing his first ask of his lord Jesus is that He make sure Roy Cooper doesn't run Senate next year.

They haven't realized yet that ethics lose value faster than a dining room suite does when you buy them.

T(him)ACO — prove me wrong, Sen. Tillis.

I feel like Paul is a true believer. He's definitely voting no. I could see the others trying to play the Manchin or Sinema role to try to get as much for their state or as much for their reelection campaign as they can in exchange for their vote.

Hey, NC Legislature (GOP), Thom wants you on the hook with him if he votes Yes — he wants you to tell him it’s fine.
