So an invasion is imminent, right? At least with Iraq there was an attempt at justification.

Yeah, but @ZenMode and @Ramrouser want to remind you how much it ramps up the temperature to tell officers that they should not commit murder in the name of following orders.
At the risk of raising the temperature on this messageboard, I'd like to remind everyone that you do not have to slap a baby even if your boss asks you to. Sorry if that's hard for anyone to hear.

Haven't seen a single respectable military or legal mind come to a different conclusion.

Ok, so clearly Trump will issue pardons... but there will be warrants from the ICC.

This should be asked of 2026 and 2028 candidates-- will you support extradition of hegseth if charged with these atrocities? Want that fucker to sweat so bad he relocates permanently to Saudi with a bunch of other post term magats

Just give him to Venezuela.

I would be shocked if we ever see American boots on the ground. Think a directed attack or a grab and snatch operation (which would be hard to execute) is more likely. I could also see the US trying to take out some facilities that have some loose link to the drug trade (including some military facilities).

I always thought that this was a big bluff to get the Venezuelan army to take out Maduro. Thing is Maduro has culled the officer ranks several times to make sure that the officers are loyal only to him (as are the top two guys).

Heard from a friend who's pretty well connected that the Cubans and Russians have told Maduro he cannot leave Venezuela.
