Not sure how many of the trainers are Democrats but every Marine is given that exact message in boot camp. Not sure why it strikes you as controversial.

Because the actions of the Democrats is unprecedented and clearly meant to imply that some portion of our military personnel are currently committing war crimes . And, in doing so, clearly raising the political temperature even further.

Well they do appear to be committing war crimes.

Bumping for Zen, as it appears he didn’t read this one.
I went through the "it's raising the political temperature" ridiculousness with Zen the other day in another thread. Don't waste your time.

I maintain it is not raising the political temperature to suggest a natural conclusion from information in the public record. The administration itself has put out evidence that it may have acted illegally with the boat strikes (even before the double tap reporting). It's not incendiary to say "that's 2" when the admin says "we've combined 1 and 1." And anyway, fuck temperature if our government and/or military is murdering or committing war crimes.

Some portion of our military is assistant committing war crimes. This seems evident. If the statement but the 6 is unprecedented, that's because it is unprecedented for POTUS and SECDEF to flagrantly ignore the rules of engagement and warfare.

If they are, everyone involved should be tried accordingly. That is a completely separate discussion from the impact of the actions of Congressional Democrats.

Even if they end up being right, they should not be making these kinds of statements.

Oh I know. Zen thinks the BBC should have shut up and stopped raising the temperature when it started reporting on the mass murder of Polish Jews in June 1942.

I suppose people should be very careful when they publicly say “please do not commit murder even if someone tells you to.”

Why not?

How do you propose to try them accordingly when they’ll all be pardoned?

I'm not defending war crimes, at all. Like I said, politicians, especially Democrats, have question the actions of our military many times throughout history. When have they ever done something like this? When have they ever put out a message directly to our military personnel?
Why does that matter? It was a correct message at an apt time. Get over yourself.

“…that's something that I have made very sure that they understand, American companies in Venezuela for the next 100 years.“
