I don't think it's all that implausible to assume that there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, or that it may be far more advanced or older than we are, or that they are capable of traveling across space and visiting here. And I don't think it's implausible to believe that they may be as curious a species as we are and that they traveled here after learning our planet had life to check it out and explore it. And they would likely keep their visits confined to rural or sparsely-populated areas where they are less-likely to be seen or observed.

Having said that, I don't think they would keep coming here after doing some exploration and mapping the planet, so if they did explore here any visitation likely ended a long time ago, and given how primitive we would be compared to them I doubt they would have any interest in coming here on a regular basis. So any UFO visits likely ended a long time ago, and what people are seeing now are most probably drones, weather phenomena, hoaxes, or something far more prosaic than alien visitation.

And on this particular issue (Trump releasing government UFO reports) there's no doubt that Trump is doing this as yet another diversion from the Epstein files and all of the other far more serious crap going on his administration.
