Going to miss watching Vance Honeycutt but this should be a really enjoyable team to watch from top to bottom. Pitching should be good (Jason DeCaro and Jake Knapp looked especially fantastic), and the lineup is solid all the way top to bottom. For how awful the ACC has become in basketball, baseball is going the exact opposite direction. Should be a really fun year in the league. I think we will find three or four ACC teams make it to Omaha again: some combination of Virginia, North Carolina, Florida State, Duke, and Clemson.

Would really like to take the series against East Carolina this coming weekend. I don’t think they have as good of a ball club as they have had over the last couple of years.

I’ll also double up that I miss Honeycutt. It was odd watching the TT games and him not being out there.

If we do make it back to Omaha, I hope our jello shot team does better this year. The SEC really cleaned our clocks last year. They dominate us in football, basketball and jello shots.

My name is on the wall and I had season tix for several years. Medical issues eventually made it very difficult to attend games, but I follow the Diamond Heels from afar. I hope there will be many games I can access on the ESPN channels and ACCN as the season progresses😊

That's an incredible crowd! Looks good on ESPN3 down here in Birmingham and even better in your pictures. Funny to see the same characters on the IC baseball board crying about how awful our fans are for letting ECU fans take over the Bosh. Maybe I'm color blind but I can't see much purple and gold in those shots.
 
7-0 against all power 4 teams (i’m counting ecu in that). nice start. Just some minor concerns but we’re a good team and maybe one of our more translatable to Omaha at the new park in a while
 
My husband has watched at least some of every game televised this season, so I’ve had a chance to catch a few innings here and there. Strong start for sure. The ECU seep may end up being a sign of a down season for the Pirates but overall I thought the Heels’ pitching looked excellent.

Not sure if the cold weather impacted hitting but we have seemed to be a HR power batting squad so far, but plenty of offense nonetheless.
 
By the way, do not think it was accidental that Forbes ran arm after arm from NC to the mound against the Pirates. Expect to see the same every time we play a North Carolina school. He approaches every recruit from NC with one statement. "There is only one baseball school in North Carolina. You'll either win with us or be beaten by us."
